temperature records set yesterday! as for this morning, it's warm. we didn't get much cooling overnight, so we're waking up to widespread 60s and 70s. by noon we should see upper 80s along the bay shoreline and low 90s inland. then, by later this afternoon, we'll hit our maximum temperatures which will be low 100s, once again, for the inland valleys. expect low 90s along the bay waterfront. hot weather is expected to continue all week. a heat advisory for all inland valleys has been extended through thursday. temperatures slightly after that point, but the computer having a tough time predicting by how much. refining the forecast as we move through the meantime,

( mark ) breaking news we are following this morning... at least one person dead and 8 others injured after another attack in london... this time at a mosque. a van plowed through a crowd of pedestrians near a mosque early this morning and now we have learned that police are investigating it as a possible terrorist attack. the attack took place just after midnight in north london as worshipers were finishing prayers. the attack happening just days before the end of the muslim holy month of ramadan. police say the driver of a van that hit pedestrians is a 48-year-old man who has been arrested and taken to a hospital. he was detained by people at the scene. and this morning we are hearing from one of the men who tackled the driver and held him until police could arrive.

police are not sure if the person killed was actually struck by the van. the victim was already receiving first aid when the attack happened. at least eight other people were taken to hospital. two of them are seriously injured. in a statement, london mayor sadiq khan incident a "horrific attack." police say has all the hallmarks of a terror attack but they have not confirmed terrorism as a ( darya ) in the east bay. police are investigating a homicide in oakland after the body of a woman was found near highland hospital. police say they found the body yesterday morning on 22nd avenue. officers have one suspect in custody but are not releasing any other information. ( darya ) police continue to investigate an officer involved shooting that closed the bay bridge for several hours. police say it started with a car crash yesterday morning. officers were clearing the scene when a red sedan started driving toward them. police gave multiple commands telling the driver to stop...and when the driver continued barreling towards them...an officer fired several rounds into that car....hitting the driver. there is no word on the driver's condition this morning. there were passengers in the car at the time of the shooting. they

were not injured. police are trying to figure out if drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident. ( mark ) a massive fire in san jose caused major damage to an apartment complex and has left at least 10 people without a home. fire crews say people were still inside the complex when the fire broke out yesterday afternoon. when firefighters arrived, two apartments were fully engulfed in flames. witnesses say they had just seconds to get everyone out: ( mark ) no one was injured in the fire. firefighters say they have been getting an increase in calls because of the heat. ( darya ) breaking overnight... at least 79 people are dead or presumed dead following last week's fire at a high-rise apartment building in london. this

is new video of the damage done to the building. this video is from a police recovery team. british officials say that materials used to build the apartment complex was flammable and actually banned in the united kingdom. the company that provided that material is denying that claim. survivors say the material helped spread the fire. investigators say that the fire was so may be impossible to the victims. ( darya ) 62 people are dead this morning and dozens of others are injured in a wildfire in portugal. officials are calling this "the greatest wildfire tragedy of recent years." some of the victims burned to death in their cars as they tried to flee. there are 700 firefighters on the frontlines but that is still not enough to battle the flames. government officials believe a dry thunderstorm sparked the fire. ( mark ) now to a story you will see only on kron 4. a santa rosa woman is still recovering after she was hit in a d-u-i crash nearly a month ago. she lost her unborn child in the accident. kron four's ella sogomonian

has her story. a split second mistake by a dui driver on highway 12 in santa rosa has changed elizabeth ehrmann-subia's life forever. the 33 year old is learning to walk again at a physical therapy clinic in santa rosa. sot: elizabeth ehrmann-subia, crash survivor//"i remember coming to and thinking it was bizarre that my arm was hanging out of the ca because i was driving with my windows closed. and then i remember thinking i hurt a lot in a lot of unusual places."it's been almost one month since she was hit on highway 12 by merced avenue. police believe the driver was under the influence of methamphetamines.ehrmann-subia cautions other driverssot: elizabeth ehrmann-subia, crash survivor//"it's not worth it. i didn't even see him coming. i didn't have time to hit the breaks."erhmann-subia was on her way to sebastapol just before 5 that night to pick up her 2 year old daughter.sot: elizabeth ehrmann-subia, crash survivor// "if i had lost our daughter. mentally i wouldn't

have survived. i can't even think about it."santa rosa police report 40 year old tristan taliesin drove into her lane causing the head on collision. at 22 weeks pregnant she lost her unborn baby as a result. sot: elizabeth ehrmann-subia, crash survivor//"she was a very wanted child we went through fertility treatments." erhmann-subia has had six surgeries since.surgeons operated on a ruptured bladder, an emergency c section, her crushed pelvis, a hernia, and a broken ankle. sot: elizabeth ehrmann-subia, crash survivor//"i've had to relearn a lot. i have to scoop my body to get onto a toilet. everything has to be assisted. if something falls on the floor i need someone to help to pick it up. i can't work i can't see my kid every day." elizabeth says she feels sorry for the man who caused this grief saying she can't imagine feeling responsible for taking the life of a baby and forcing someone to learn to walk again. heartache aside - erhmann-subia is ecstatic to return home on wednesday and be back with her family.in santa rosa ella sogomonian kron 4 news. say prosecutors in bill cosby's rape case are likely to reshape their case for the second trial. minutes after the judged declared a mistrial on saturday, prosecutors said they will retry the 79-year-old comedian. the jury deliberated over six days without reaching a verdict on charges that cosby drugged and raped andrea constand at his home near philadelphia in 2004. prosecutors might ask the judge to reconsider his ruling that allowed just one of cosby's 60 other accusers to testify. ( darya ) a woman is behind bars and accused of trying to perform an exorcism on her 11-year-old daughter near eureka. police say kimberly felder stripped her daughter naked and started beating, biting and choking her at a secluded beach on friday. felder told people she was trying to remove demons from the girl. a good samritan stepped in and restrained the mother until police arrived. the 45-year-old mother was arrested for child abuse and attempted homicide. the girl is in the hospital this morning with multiple injuries. ( mark ) jared kushner has another high-profile road trip this week. the 36-year-old son-in-law of president trump

is heading to israel and ramallah. he's scheduled to meet separately with israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu and palestinian president mahmoud abbas. bringing peace to the mideast is a main priority for president trump, according to a white house official. in addition to trying to ease tensions in the mideast, kushner, a real estate magnate, also has other responsibilities. they include: improving the department of veterans affairs and fixing the federal bureaucracy. ( mark ) a 26-year-old woman fell into a creek and drowned at the sequoia national park. it is the third river death at the park this year. it happened on saturday along the park's "twin lakes trail." record snowfall from the winter is melting rapidly, causing rivers to swell with dangerously fast mountain runoff. there have been at least 11 drownings in the state since the snowpack started melting in may. park rangers say the river crossings fluctuate with temperature and time of day... advising people that just because you were able to cross in the morning, does not mean it is safe to cross when you come back in the afternoon.

( darya ) a wildfire in southern california has now burned over a-thousand acres and it is 10 percent contained this morning. crews were also battling the heat as they beat back the fire. at least nine aircrafts are fighting the fast-moving brush fire northwest of los angeles near the town of wrightwood in san bernadino county it broke out near lake castaic saturday afternoon firefighters say the flames are not threatening any homes right now. there have been no injuries. ( mark ) some convicted sex offenders in california could soon get off the registry under a bill going through the state legislature. ( darya ) ali wolf shows us how the new system will work if it's passed into law. (nats typing)in california -- once a person registers as a sex offender..that label follows them for life.it's the way its been since 1947 but it could change soon.(dan felizzatto - special assistant district attorney, la county district attorney's office)"california is in desperate need of a new sex

( mark ) that was ali wolf reporting. the lower risk sex offenders in tiers one and two would have to petition a court to be removed from the registry once they become eligible. ( darya ) take a look at this... a homeowner in florida used a machete to fight off five robbers in florida. they were armed with a shotgun when they broke into his home. the homeowner grabs a machete and starts fighting back. he was able to disarm one of the intruders, while the other four took off. the homeowner held down one of the intruders until police arrived. police later tracked down and arrested the other attackers. ( mark ) happening now. police are searching for anyone connected to the vandalism of a sacramento church. spray painted swastikas were found on the saint francis catholic church

in midtown. the vandalism is being investigated as a possible hate crime. police are looking to see if a camera on the outside of the church captured any footage that may help them with their investigation. ( mark ) in colorado there are some people who are pushing for a law that would ban buying cell phones for children.( darya ) the move would forbid the sale of cell phones to children younger than 13-years-old. it would require retailers to ask customers about the age of the primary user of the cell phone. ( mark ) retailers who sell a phone for someone younger than 13 could be fined five-hundred dollars after a warning. the proposal still needs about 300-thousand signatures for it to make it on next years colorado ballot. ( darya ) college admissions experts have some advice for students trying to get into college.... think before you post on social media.( mark ) this comes after harvard university's decision to revoke admissions of 10 students for offensive facebook messages. students posted jokes about the holocaust and sexual assault on a private facebook group for incoming harvard freshmen.( darya ) admissions experts say that college hopefuls should avoid posting anything that they wouldn't want their grandmother to say. ( darya ) police are investigating a triple homicide after a woman and her two children were found dead inside a home in modesto. the 30-year-old mother, along with her nine-year-old and four-year-old sons were murdered saturday night. police also found a 28-

year-old man with self inflected injuries. he's in the hospital. family members say that he is the woman's husband of eight years. police are not yet saying if he is the suspect in murders.members say visit him while recovering in the hospital. ( darya ) family embers say they did not know of any problems with their marriage. modesto police have not released any information on how the three victims were killed. no one has been charged in these murders. ( mark ) one person is under arrest in myrtle beach, south carolina after a shooting was streamed live on facebook. police say they responded to reports of a large crowd gathered in the streets. before they arrived a fight broke out between two people. one of the men shot the other and then fired several shots into the crowd. seven people were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. police say a security officer shot the gunman... who then car jacked somebody and took off in the stolen car. police eventually caught up with him and arrested him. ( lydia ) crews have been battling this fire for more than 3-hours.it started just after 4am.this are is an unincorporated area of solano county right outside of benicia.this is part of an organics company that sells mulch and compost.fire officials say the heat we've been seeing may have triggered this fire.because this is high combustible material battling this fire is a challenge.what firefighters are doing now is breaking down the piles of mulch and trying to battle this sections.firefighters say the heavy wind is fueling the flames.

( mark ) breaking overnight... at least 79 people are dead or presumed dead following last week's fire at a high-rise apartment building in london. this is new video of the damage done to the building. this video is from a police recovery team. british officials say that materials used to build the apartment complex was flammable and actually banned in the united kingdom. the company that provided that material is denying that claim. survivors say the material helped spread the fire. investigators say that the fire was so intense that it may be impossible to identify all of the victims. ( darya ) 62 people are dead this morning and dozens of others are injured in a wildfire in portugal. officials are calling this "the greatest wildfire tragedy of recent years." some of the victims burned to death in their cars as they tried to flee. there are 700 firefighters on the frontlines but that is still not enough to battle the flames.
