(jr stone our big story tonight... pride is in full swing tonight in san francisco. i'm jr stone.(justine) and i'm justine waldman. tens of thousands of people are here to show love trumps hate. kron 4's hermela aregawi shows us the colorful celebrations that are thousands gathered in delores park saturday to celerbate the lgbtq community.the rainbow flags and the love were in the air.sabrina gonzales/attendee: every year i come its like my fourth time. and i love celebrating it everybody is so free. its just a whole day dedicated to us. a whole weekend matter of fact. and i love it. its just filled with so much love and good energy. it's always positive vibes. i dont ever have a bad time. desharrah scott/attendee:i jsut love seeing the people.

and how much people are just gathered for the love and just celebrating gay pride and that we all get to be together and be who we want to be.sfpd says all hands are on deck this weekend.they have officers planted throughout the crowds to make sure that people stay safe.people we talked to say they are not worried about security.desharrah scott/attendee:no i'm not concerned i think the police and everybody who is here like i see people on buildings and stuff. i think they'll be able to handle it if anything was to break out.sabrina gonzales/attendee: i am scared about isis and all that but i think they have it. they have security on the roofs. you can clearly see everybody. they have plenty of police up here. there are never anything so i think its really good. i think they're on it.tomorrow is the main event.the pride parade will start at 10:30 in the'll run along market from beale to 8th street. market street from steuart street and van ness will be closed until about 5 tomorrow. ( justine ) in the south bay: a pilot is alright tonight after crashing on highway 101. the crash happened just after 5 tonight... in san martin (mar-teen), which is south of san jose. the california highway patrol says the plane went down on the southbound side... the reason... the pilot simply missed the runway at the airport. the pilot has some minor injuries but is otherwise okay. the crash blocked on ramp for a short time. ( jr stone ) the man who oversaw the state's response to the oroville dam crisis is retiring. bill croyle is stepping down at the beginning of july. he had took on the role of the director of the state department of water resources at the beginning of the year. the spillway at oroville began crumbling the next month in the middle of the wettest recorded winter in california history. that led to the evacuation of the nearly 200-thousand people in the region. crews are currently racing to repair the

spillway by the beginning of november. (jr stone) for those that love to use the social networking app, snapchat. the company released a new feature called 'snap map' -- it allows snapchat users to share their location with their friends.( justine ) reporter, sara zendehnam tells us why users need to be careful when using 'snap map'. snapchat graduates from puppy filters to connecting users all across the world.the new opt in snap map feature shares your location with your snapchat friends but does it cross a line?eunice gonzalez snapchat user "honestly i think it's kind of creepy people can actually see you when you zoom it people can see the houses and streets and everything." elena simon, snapchat user"it's kind of cool to see where people are but it's weird because of privacy reasons." privacy is the biggest concern among snapchat users we spoke to. media expert murray newlands says if the location service is turned on parents should be concerned about their children's safety. this mom is...jessie simon, mom "i talk

to my son about it yesterday and i said just to be very cautious and don't let anybody know where he is if there is a feature to block it go ahead and use that."that feature does exist. sara zendehnam, reporting "turning off the location service is pretty easy according to snapchat the location service by default is off once you update the app but when you get into the app you are prompted with this screen that asks who can see my location on the map your options are only me ghost mode my friends or select friends to turn off the location service you click only me ghost mode ghost mode basically means no one can see where you are except for you." ruth gonzalez, snapchat user "the ghost mode yeah i guess i'll put that so no one will be able to see my location."in a statement a snapchat spokesperson says quote... is finally over. a cool sea breeze contiunes to bring cooler air well inland. you can see the fog is back and now it's looking more like a typical summer pattern with cool coastal fog and warm sunshine inland. highs today were mainly in the 80s in the valley with cool 60s at the coast. if you're going to the pride parade in san francisco tomorrow, plan for a mix of fog and sun with cool temperatures in the low to mid 60s. at sonoma raceway it will be sunny and warm with afternoon highs in the low 80s. the cooling will continue. we'll tell you for how long coming up.
