( darya ) breaking overnight... oakland police are investigating two deadly shootings. the first shooting happened just before 9:30 last night in the 6-hundred block of 23rd street. one man was shot and killed. police remained on scene until midnight investigating. the second shooting happened
just after 9:30 near the intersection of 11th and center streets. one man was also shot and killed. police have no shooters in custody. ( darya ) breaking news from overseas ... theres a massive manhunt going on in france after a gunman opened fire killing 3 people and injuring 13 others. the gunman has been identified by police and was already known to security services as a possible threat. french officials had attmepted to bring the gunman in for questioning yesterday morning on an unrelated case but he was not located. the shooting this morning took place at one of europes oldest shopping markets . the gunman did exchange fire with police.. and he was injured. witnesses say he shouted "god is great" in arabic before the shooting. tenant derick almena and max harris have filed a request that the building's owners and oakland police officers and firefighters be arrested. almena and harris are charged with 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter for the fire during the concert in 20-16. the request says 5 firefighters and three police officer visited the warehouse before the fire but never did anything to address the problems. almena and harris say the officials and the building owners should be held accountable and prosecuted. almena and harris's trial begins in april. ( james ) also new this morning... the a-t-f is offering a 25-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of those who stole 157 firearms. investigators have recovered some of the stolen guns in vallejo that were from burglaries in nevada. four burglars in these pictures are connected to four separate burglaries dating back to august in reno nevada. on monday the burglars used a sledgehammer to smash
the front window of juggernaut arms in sparks nevada.. they stole 27 guns from the store. a-t-f is asking anyone with information connected to the burglaries to contact them. ( james ) on the peninsula... san bruno police are looking for three thieves who were attempting to steal an atm. police were called to the 2-hundred block of east san bruno avenue for a burglary in progress just before 5:30 monday morning. police say the thieves used a u-haul rental truck to forecefully drag the atm out of the business. after several failed attempts they left. police say the thieves were wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks. ( darya ) also on the peninsula. the all clear has been given to facebook's campus in menlo park after a bomb threat was called in. n-y-p-d crime stoppers called menlo park police just before 5 last night saying they've received a bomb threat at building 23 on the facebook campus. the entire campus was evacuated as a precaution. police did not find a
device or any packages. ( darya ) officials have identified the construction worker who died monday on east marin island. 39-year-old shawn moore suffered extensive injuries when a rock and concrete wall collapsed. the construction crew was demolishing an old stone structure on the island. officials are still unsure how moore became trapped by the wall. cal osha is investigating the accident. ( james ) plans to add a toll on treasure island .... are on hold. the governing board of the san francisco transportation authority... delayed its vote on a new toll policy... saying the board was seeking more time to flush out the details. business owners and residents fear the toll will have a negative economic impact and drive residents away. the transportation authority says revenue from the tolls will pay for new ferry services on the island and additional bus services. if approved, the toll would go into affect by
late 20-21. ( james ) the homelessness crisis in the bay area may be worse than many think according to a new study. there were nearly 26-thousand people living without homes in the bay area last year according to zillow. the executive director of trinity center in walnut creek says she is not surprised. donna colombo says they have seen a steady increase in people coming into the center looking for help and she is seeing more families than ever before. < families cant make it. its either food or rent. we just got state wide about 50 to 60 thousand more homeless people because of the fires.">( james ) colombo says people can help out homeless families by volunteering at the trinity center in walnut creek. ( darya ) a big story this morning... the death toll in the camp fire has risen to 86. officials say no human remains were found but a man who was burned in the fire and sent to the hospital died from his injuries. three
people are still missing. of the 86 people that have died.. 52 have been identified. ( darya ) demonstrators rallied inside san francisco's p-g-and-e headquarters to protest the company's role in the camp fire. they believe the utility is reponsible for causing the fire. an attorney who is filing lawsuits on behalf of both camp fire survivors and family's of victims agrees. in his latest filing ... he points out what he believes is the cause of the deadly fire.

( darya ) more police are patrolling near cal state northridge after the campus received two threats against faculty and students. a letter was found this week threatening to harm them today... which is the first day of final exams. now... teachers have been instructed to change the dates of final exams in response.

( james ) in health news this morning....fentanyl is the most deadly drug in the country. the synthetic opioid was linked to nearly 29- percent of all overdoses in 20-16. that's according to the centers for disease control and prevention's national center for health statistics. the data was based on drug overdose death certificates from 20-11 through 20-16. for three of those years.....20-12 through 20-15, heroin was the drug most often found in overdose deaths. shalimar restaurant on polk street got into an argument about paying for food. baughman was denied service and that's when she started knocking over items and punched a man in the face. police say alacantar grabbed a chair from outside the restaurant and used it to shatter the front door. ( darya ) thousands of kaiser mental health professionals are participating in day three of a state wide strike. here in the bay area ... the demonstrations will take place at the protests will take place at kaiser offices and medical centers in east bay and santa clara. workers are protesting what they say is a lack of staffing that affects care. a union president says patients have to wait a month of more for follow-up appointments because of low staffing levels. and that kaiser needs to hire hundreds more clinicians. the workers are striking through friday. the federal government would be affected if the shut-down goes through.any shutdown wouldn't impact essential services. ( james ) the trump administration is asking the supreme court to lift an injunction blocking its asylum ban on the southern border. the department of justice made the request yesterday in an effort to block the ban from going into effect. last month, president trump signed a proclamation that barred undocumented immigrants from applying for asylum outside official ports of entry. but two federal courts later blocked the measure, saying it conflicts with the immigration law. in tuesday's filing, the d-o-j in tuesday's filing, the d-o-j said a growing number of undocumented immigrants claim asylum when theyet arrested. a supreme court justice is asking challengers to respond by monday.
