>>new information tonight in that deadly helicopter crash in the east bay we now know the name of the person who was killed. thanks for joining us. i'm ken wayne. >>and i'm j r stone sitting in for pam moore, the crash happened this afternoon at hayward executive airport. an airport spokesman says a flight instructor and the student were on board when that helicopter went down. kron four's dan thorn is live at the airport tonight with the victim's identity and more on what happened and. >>well j r we're just now that the alameda county coroner has identified the flight instructor as 62 year-old wayne project he was flying here today in teaching a student had flying an instructional helicopter and today's lesson unfortunately turned deadly. a helicopter flight instruction and hayward executive airport becomes deadly emergency crews rushed to the scene monday after an

instructor was killed and his student was seriously injured when their chopper came crashing down the survivor was taken to a medical center in critical condition, a very closed both runways. >>the and investigated we responded that hayward fire department responded and hayward police department all responded to the scene airport manager doug mcnealy says the 2 men were practicing maneuvers and a robinson r 44 helicopter. >>similar to the one seen here. then apparently something went wrong on board it's unclear whether the cause of the deadly crash was a mechanical or human error. >>our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the deceased pilot. be on that we're going to assist the national transportation safety board the any way we can with the investigation to make it easier for them. >>well it's still unclear tonight, whether wayne or or his student where the pilot when this crash happened an ntsb investigator is expected

suv crashed into a home with a newborn baby inside happened around 6 last night on he circle not far from foxtel golf club. police say the suv 61 year-old driver told officers. he was high on meth the homeowners were inside at the time, but no one was injured. a building inspector deemed the house unsafe to live in family with a newborn. now needs a new hall in the south bay 2 homes were destroyed after a fast-moving brush fire quickly made its way up a hill in the san jose born fire started just after 11 this morning and burned nearly 50 acres kron four's noel bello has the latest. but when i first saw it i thought oh my gosh, you know anything could happen or device track going. >>saw small and i thought it was a neighbor i'm on fire. >>a fast-moving brush fire scorched nearly 50 acres of these tea san jose foothills

concerning conditions outside we talk about dry conditions and also a breezy conditions. >>fire danger. yeah, it's just that time of year where you know the grass so brown right now you get those breeze in the afternoon just even in ordinary a sea breeze in the afternoon but today it was exceptionally have some of those gusting over 30 miles per hour from parts the bay area, the temperatures yet running above normal to yet 90's in the livermore and conquered 96 the hot spot in the santa rosa, 70 even in downtown san francisco that's running above normal 76. in oakland 85 degrees in san jose. tonight some low clouds and fog started to creep back inside the bay right now you see some of that room right there just kind of a thin d more on the way though we'll see that really kind of fill throughout the night tonight and by early tomorrow morning as a good part of the bay area's look at some low cloud deck us so we're seeing that now so that moving in late in the afternoon just begin the film along the coastline, something we haven't seen for about a day and a half or so, but looks like the fog is back going to be with us for the better part of this week. the winds continue to blow look at

that at the sf over 30 miles per hour. we saw that the mill valley had some strong gusty winds. you know the south bay, some of those was stronger than normal but the sea breeze are really picking up but as we've seen some changes now in the atmosphere is high pressure start to break down kind of moving out of the way and that allow for some cooler temperatures to move into the bay area and some stronger breezes outside right now we're still the 70 degrees in mount you've got some clear skies there 65 in livermore 63 in dublin still 71 in cocker 61 in berkeley a little windy in the san francisco, 50 degrees with some patchy fog 66 in nevada 63 degrees in petaluma and 69 now and santa rosa. you now see some fog making its way into san francisco, those low clouds go to work their way all all the way to somef the interior valleys tomorrow will become mostly sunny in the afternoon. it will be warm there as well but temperatures coming down just a few degrees the mostly sunny. some night morning low clouds and fog kind of on and off all week. high out of the desert southwest that's gonna break down kind of moving this trough digs in the california as it sets itself up that will

usher in a deeper marine layer tends to a stretch out allowed to move further on shore we're going to see that looks like over the next couple of days probably lot of partly these temperatures asking the running a little bit below the average for this time of year. fog will be thick in spots overnight tonight and early tomorrow morning. some of them making its way all the way into the tri valley visibilities a less than a mile in a half moon bay into san francisco by 8 o'clock tomorrow morning so watch out for some thick fog early on then by the afternoon that begins to break up will see a little sunshine on the way and then looks like the fog low clouds to surge back on shore. but certainly looks like a return to some cooler temperatures around the bay area's high pressure is going to kind of get all the way looks like we'll see some cooler numbers for the next few days. >>these are people that in my opinion hate our country. they hate it i think with the passion we don't leave the things that we love. >>and when we left this country. >>he says they're not patriotic. they say he deserves to be impeached. the trash talking in washington

a new immigration crackdown from president trump under a new federal rule that went into effect today, immigrants are prohibited from seeking asylum in the us if they didn't apply for protections while on the way here as ed lavendera tells us the new rule comes as a widespread multi-city ice raids on undocumented immigrants said president trump warned would start on sunday. largely didn't happen. >>a successful today president trump pounced on skepticism that his long promised immigration raids have stalled many many were taken out on sunday, he just didn't know about it. it plans to deport thousands of undocumented immigrants across 10 us cities did begin on saturday, according to a senior immigration official and they will continue in the coming days. this despite difficulty locating those who may have relocated after warnings from the administration itself people will be separated from
