friends in on this fun adventure. that's straight ahead. >> michelle: and iron steak and sea. boy, they have delicious food. they're back with what this restaurant is cooking up for it's new lunch menu and how it's mixing things up from traditional steak and lobster to a really, really good what was it? >> jeff: lunch menu. >> michelle: the sandwich. >> jeff: a blt straight ahead. news we start with that breaking news out of south carolina. an elementary school shooting is what we're talking about today. three victims in all. two of them are students. we don't know how old. the update that we got is those two students have non life threatening injuries. good. the other victim a teacher. there is a suspect in custody described as a teenager. not many details on the suspect.

there's another incident not from the school that could be connected. >> michelle: about three miles away the body of a man was found and they're looking into a possible connection between the death of that man and this shooting that happened a short time later. , so, again, this is unfolding right now out of townville, south carolina. police in that area are planning a press conference. it's supposed to happen any moment. as soon as we get more information on this elementary school shooting, we will bring it to studio we're happy to have you. more than a thousand jobs are up for grabs in the city of henderson. we want to let you know about this. a job fair taking place tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the sunset station hotel and casino. make sure to bring plenty of resumes and dress for success. >> jeff: and speaking of dressing for success, kelly is here. and she is talking about the cool weather that we've had. how the fact that we started

>> kelly: don't wash the car just yet. i want to start out with this time-lapse. this is out of pahrump. and we actually will take a look at the radar first. we are seeing shower activity near the pahrump area, also near primm. then just east of lake mead. that's the cell we're watching. north of kingman. that is going to start hooking west. i expect it to probably go a little north of las vegas. but that is a cluster we are currently watching. here is that time-lapse out of this rain shafts out in the distance. you see rain showers come down off the mountains there. now you are seeing a little bit of breaks in those clouds. but more showers a possibility as we head throughout the day today. currently at pahrump valley high school 84. winds north northeast three miles an hour. and doris reed elementary school at 87. we're going to take a closer look at the showers coming up in a few minutes. >> michelle: okay. so we have the cutest dog in

we will have beer. and wine and non-alcoholic beverages as well. then brought wurst and all -- brought wurst and all -- bratwurst and all types of german food. >> michelle: of course the beer and the hot dogs for the humans. what do we have -- do we have anything for the doggies? >> we have great doggy bags for the pups. they'll goom primal pets. and probably some toys from planet dog. we have one bone that just came in that's called the paddle. it is the shoulder blade of a cow. it's enormous. so probably for a larger dog. we'll have a great selection of treat towards humans and dogs alike. >> michelle: by the way, not up for grabs. you will have to pry him from -- what did you say? your dead, cold hands. >> jeff: i can't take him.

heck: why wouldn't i? narrator: donald trump and joe heck. wrong for nevada. >> jeff: we continue to bring you breaking news out of south carolina of an elementary school shooting in townville at townville elementary. three victims. two students. we know they were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. the suspect confirmed by the associated press was a teen. and that teen is in custody. meantime, the school is on lockdown and now we're getting word that all these students who were being ook waited from being relocated to a church nearby. >> michelle: where hopefully their parents will be so they can be reunited with her their parents. we're told that parents are showing up at the school very worried and upset.

conference. they keep saying it's going to happen at any moment. this is an ongoing investigation. they have said that all the other students at the school are safe. so this whole thing, it seems like they have it under control. they have a lone suspect if custody. as soon as we get more information we'll bring it your way and as soon as we have that press conference we'll try to dip into it. >> jeff: it's 12:41 now a check of the forecast and what you can expect mid-week. area. the bulk of this activity moving up from mexico. you can see the showers moving arizona, new mexico then they hook west. we've got showers, light activity in the pahrump area. also near primm we're watching showers. some thunderstorms firing up there. the cell we are most concerned about or cluster here is just to the south and east of lake mead. just to the north now of dolan springs. we've got a couple imbedded

seeing shades of yellow and orange showing a little heavier rainfall. these showers are moving north and west. it looks like they should probably head north over the las vegas valley. this is something that we will continue to watch. here is a look outside right now. this is from our camera in mesquite. the virgin valley high school. seeing a few clouds in the area. a little blue sky but more clouds heading your way at this hour and that chance for showers as we head throughout the afternoon. current temperatures. mesquite you are boulder city coming in at 87. in the las vegas valley looking at upper 80s across much of the region. 86 to 88 degrees across much of the valley. temperatures not expected to rise a whole lot more. i think we'll see more clouds moving in. also the possibility of showers. when we do get the showers we know the temperatures drop quickly. here is a look at the forecast highs today. we're expecting them to be at or slightly below normal. overton today 91 degrees. that's your expected high.

overnight tonight, tonopah, you are going to go down to 53 for a low. boulder city 68. mesquite 66. our 7-day forecast? chance of showers and thunderstorms still in the forecast for the rest of this afternoon otherwise partly sunny skies and 87. don't put the umbrella away. another chance for showers tomorrow mainly in the afternoon. more scattered, a little bit lighter, 88. the sun comes back out friday and is going to stick with us all weekend. we're also that's going to start saturday morning and go through sunday. it's going to be cooling us off a lot. we're talking upper 70s on tuesday. >> jeff: time for trending today. a proposal at yankee stadium didn't go so well and, of course, it was caught on camera. >> michelle: this is going to be a great story for this couple. look at this poor guy. oh my gosh. here's what happened. he had this whole proposal ready to go then he dropped the diamond in the stands. but thanks to everybody who was

everybody in this general area there jumped in to action. people started getting down on the ground and somebody found the ring. and when it was found a big smile on their face. everybody cheering. and then he gets down on bended knee. he pops the question. and she says yes. [ laughter ] that's going be a story for them to share for sure. >> jeff: it's good to have a back-up ring is >> michelle: right. just don't drop the ring. >> jeff: a peeping tom halloween decoration -- that is really creepy. we've seen halloween decorations pop up but nothing like this. this is from a home depot in canada. it's called the scary peeper creeper. it's meant to imitate the head of a peeping tom looking through a window. a mother in canada failed to see the humor and told a radio station that it really makes light of a serious crime. doesn't like it. doesn't approve of it.

i mean, that's something that happens to people and it's really creepy and the costume's creepy. and anyways they're pulling it. >> jeff: after hearing of the complaint home depot said it would remove the decoration from canadian store shelves. a spokesperson telling the "washington post" the company decided to pull the product due to other complaints stating it reminded them of infamous canadian serial killer paul bernardo. >> michelle: we'd like to know what you think. do you think it's inappropriate? reach out to our on social media. >> jeff: it does scare people but in the wrong way i think. >> michelle: halloween is supposed to be scary but i think what they're saying is making light of a serious situation. the two major presidential candidates didn't just debate monday night. >> jeff: one of them sniffleed a lot. the other shimmied. >> michelle: she did it with a little smile.

jeanne moos breaks it down for us. >> reporter: the internet depicted the candidates spewing flames, shooting laser beams. and there was donald trump make funny faces and distracting noises. as the donald sniffleed, twitter sneezed. someone get trump a tissue. does trump have pneumonia? the debate was sheriffening. parody twitter accounts sprouted pretending to be trump's sniffle posting gems like this video purporting to be a compilation of every sniff from the debate. the hashtag #make america sniff again circulated. the donald denied he had a cold or allergies. >> no sniffles. no. you know the mic was very bad. but maybe it was good enough to hear breathing. >> reporter: the mystery was

>> reporter: a nose specialist and body language expert speculated it might be a nervous tick while others joked about things that people sniff to cause sniffing. >> i picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue. >> reporter: and comedians made coke jokes. >> he was like scar face with, you know, more face. >> reporter: the donald has been a serial sniffer before. pretty since back when he first started using teleprompters. while the donald >> whoo! okay. >> reporter: laughing off trump's assertion she has a temperament problem. her shimmy was put to a rap. ? happiness. we have andiron steak and sea here known for their delicious steaks. but we're talking about a new lunch menu. we have michael davis. raise your hand. then micah. so you guys are here to talk about this fabulous menu. we had you earlier. and you brought some interesting stuff. this, of course, catches my eye. this dessert. i always start with dessert because i say why not have dessert fi let's talk about the new menu. you are known for your steaks but also have really great stuff here. >> we have a lighter option. this is our avocado toast. then we move into a semi light option with the blt. right here we have our chopped salad. mixture of lots of vegetables so you can get all your nutrition in. >> michelle: we're looking at the avocado toast. what is that basil and tomato.

tomatoes, and avocado. >> michelle: the sandwich that people are looking at here those tomatoes look amazing. >> nice big cut juicy heirloom tomatoes, crispy bacon, arugula for spice. >> michelle: that looks so good. then you went to the salad here. >> our chopped salad. if mixture of hearts of palm, breakfast radish, heirloom to nice chopped fresh vegetables there so you can start off your day with a healthy option. >> michelle: then you can indulge in dessert and not feel so bad. >> that is our downtown summerlin power lunch. gives you a salad, a side of veggies. you get a dessert and protein. >> michelle: what is this? >> that is a cr?me brul?e donut. filled with custard. >> michelle: a cr?me brul?e donut?

the area. we've got cells near primm. also toward pahrump. we're watching these showers east of lake mead. also to the southeast down near kingman. these showers moving north and west. looks like maybe they'll clip the las vegas valley or at least go to the outskirts. again that's something we are going to continue to monitor. next newscast at 3:00 p.m. and, of course, if we need to break in we will. chance of showers not just this afternoon but into tomorrow as well. >> jeff: something else we will continue to monitor is shooting out of south carolina and townville at townville elementary. three victims, two children, one a teacher. we're told the children have non life threatening injuries. the suspected shooter, a teenager, is in custody. this is something we'll continue to follow throughout the day. >> michelle: we've also confirmed they did find a body about three miles away and they are investigating the possibility of the death of that man and the shooting being connected. also they have transferred all
