we're off to a cool start this morning, many neighborhoods starting off in the 50s and the 60s. here's a look over the last few hours with the conditions around the region lots of sunshine and lighter winds so very nice weather but it's a bit chilly out there and fits in right well with the season, off and on cloud cover throughout the afternoon. the temperatures ranging from the low 70s in summerlin no the mid-70s on the eastside of town. the winds are lighter compared to yesterday, where we saw this is certainly a lot better as we start the workweek. 79 in gearing elementary school in summerlin and 70 in the mid-70s for north las vegas at dickins elementary school. outside the valley, 50 degrees on the mountain right now. 70 for indian springs and 74 for lake mead where the winds are much calmer compared to yesterday. as we look at the satellite, the cool air is settling in kick up the wind speeds over the weekend

chilly over the next few hours. as we show you on the satellite the next few days, not much change happening over in nevada, but the friends in the pacific northwest certainly getting a splash of the shower as the low pressure-to the coast again. the temperatures dropping down to 57 degrees, three degrees cooler compared to the lows last night measured in mccarran in las vegas. the winds up to 10 miles per hour with maybe winds up to 10 on the edges of overnight, at the freezing mark for mt. charleston, mid-few hours for indian springs, low 60s for lake mead and 42 for pahrump so you're definitely going to want to start out with a jacket tomorrow morning. 82 for overton, 78 for pahrump and the upper 70s for boulder city, but it's going to be a great morning to be out and about walking the dog, not having to worry about too much except adding a few extra layers, 68 degrees by 9:00 at least for us in las vegas.

81 degrees tomorrow, so, again, slowing up in the daytime over the next few days, but overnightings -- overnight, still pretty chilly and the overnight temperatures still remaining in the 50s at least through thursday. after that, an ever so gradual warm-up does continue and before we know it, we'll be back in the upper 80s making our way into saturday. >> so a taste of sweater weather and back to-s clothes. >> the surf's up on the san diego coast on sunday. 80 canines were trying to take this on at dog beach in del mar. there were some wipe-outs and this was hosted by the hound woodward association. >> marie: my desert dogs would
