tonight. >> dana: breaking overnight a woman murdered here in the las vegas valley on the west side. let's go live to the scene. you are not far from red rock elementary school. >> reporter: the red rock elementary school just that direction and not far. behind me the investigation under way right now. this started about 12:45 this morning. there were people in this neighborhood who heard the sound of that was the first sign there was trouble. they looked outside and saw a woman dead on the sidewalk. she has not been i.d.ed yet but she's in her 20's and she was shot in the head. there were no reports of trouble before the shooting like yelling or arguing. neighbors say they heard the gunfire and two shots. that's what matches evidence on
we also know there is another question they are looking to answer right now and that is whether or not she lives in the area or was she driven here. all part of the investigation that will move on into the day. there is the point of a suspect vehicle or vehicle of interest, a gray four door sedan that one witness saw leaving this area just after the shooting. >> chris: we know you will remain in places information comets in and we will be checking in with you live for the next two hours. we have additional breaking news playing out in our backyard. >> krystal: metro police looking for a man that stabbed another man during an argument overnight at a home near decatur. police telling us a man and his wife got into an argument when one of her friends tried to intervene. the husband then stabbed that friend in the back and ran away.
if you have any information about where the suspect may be, you are asked to call crime stoppers and you can remain anonymous. >> krystal: another local crime to detail here. local police looking for the person caught on camera robbing a retail store using only a stick of all things. this was on sunday night at tropical parkway and centennial boulevard. the person went into the business approaching several employees and demanding money while doing. so he then forces two employees into the back office area where police say he repeatedly hit one of them with that large stick. one of the victims puts his hands up around his neck and at one point is trying to defend himself. then the man says he's going to kill him if he doesn't get his money. that suspect is described as 5'8". this is a man noble his 20's is
local crime, please don't keep it to yourself, police need your help with this one. call the crime stoppers hot line number. >> dana: that is disturbing no doubt. so too this. nevada highway patrol releasing the video of this man carjacking a vehicle from an elderly couple in henderson. trooper said he was forced to shoot. >> i >> dana: you can hear the trooper say i'm going to chute as he tries to steal a car from the elderly couple. this took place in henderson areason. before this happened he carjacked a woman at a gas
high speed chase. dudley shot him who then died from his injuries the next day. he said he was dead in this video but it took 24 hours for that to happen. the suspect's criminal history included robbery, kidnapping and evading law enforcement. >> kim: many of you have made it official who you'd like to see as the next president of the united states. we look at early voting in particular southern nevada. more than 33,000 people cast their ballots just yesterday. that makes at least 138,000 people in the first four days of early voting. early voting here in southern nevada runs through next friday. >> dana: plenty on the ballot. it's easy to miss a question that could affect thousands of people in our state. we want to talk about question four this morning that would

do you see this woman who is clearly shooting her gun? she is shooting her gun at three young people who ran for cover over here. unbelievable story. they gave her the items that she was after as you see on your screen. this is in the florida area where she ended up hitting each one of her victims. we did hear on was with two younger cousins. you can see the woman approaches her from behind, grabs her purse, tells her to hand over her phone which she does and she shoots her. the younger cousins throw their phone and start running as she can't continues to fire. all three are expected to recover. police are looking for that woman you see on the screen pulling the trigger. >> dana: they think she may be
as we check in with traffic and weather. car nado coming tonight at 10:00. >> tom: we'll talk about that. travel times looking good. no problem on the roadways. it's going to be a mess and probably the biggest change is five detours. the biggest one is going to be i15 north to u.s. 95 north shut down. motorist going to use the martin luther king ramp. one big difference this is only one lane. the one we're used to using we're going to have delays and this is going to last to february. the second biggest change is southbound access from 15 to get to 95. you won't be able to use this ramp so you have to make an exit back at lake mead. use surface streets instead of the freeway. we'll have freeway volumes on the surface streets for a few months. we'll be detailing as this goes on but it starts at 10:00 tonight.

direct tv streaming service. they bought direct tv last year. the service will cost $35 a month. so they are set to launch direct tv now. it will include more than 100 channels. they say they can cut cost. there is no dish that has to be installed or technician that comes to your home to install. that's how they can $35 a month. >> dana: they were taking a blow torch to that and that was their
