and hillary clinton comes to nevada. she's making her case. >> it shows that donald trump has momentum in nevada. jeff gillan has more on hillary. >> reporter: welcome to the union hall and a very noisy union hall. excuse me if i'm shouting. behind me a couple hundred union members and clinton supporters. these are the ground troops that hi nevada next tuesday. but let me set the backdrop to all of this for you. clinton arrives here as new polling shows trump ahead in nevada. a cnn putting trump up by 6. another poll a few days ago put him up by 4. both were done after the fbi said it was examining more clinton miles. previous polls had clinton clinton up. so we're battleground with the slight edge to trump.

3:02 pm a guilty plea for the local man accused of nearly decapitating his girlfriend. skyler fowler pled guilty to second-degree murder. police say he killed chelsea lagle in march. police say he crashed her car into a nearby 7-eleven. witnesses say he was completely naked and covered in blood. new details on the man accused of killing his girlfriend's 7-year-old son. kenneth robinson appeared in court today and metro released his arrest according to police, the child was bruised in the stomach and wrist and his ankles appear to have been tied up. they say kenneth robinson admitted to the crime. he's due back in court in december. and for the first time was this man, jevon hudson. police say he shot 28-year-old moienne wade in the head and left her to die.

jones and alta. his next court appearance is november 17th. tragedy strikes iowa police departments. two officers found dead in their cars minutes apart. >> the suspect was no stranger to police. >> reporter: two iowa police officers were found in their vehicles fatally shot at separate intersections in des moines early wednesday. the first was discovered after 1:00 a.m. a second officer was found. >> it doesn't look like there was an exchange of conversation on both officers in their cars. they were shot while sitting. 46-year-old scott michael greene was taken into custody after a seven-hour manhunt. >> walking down the employee.

presented his driver's license and told them to call 911. from there the responding deputies took him into custody. >> reporter: police say greene was known to authorities and had recently been in an altercation involving the confederate battle flag during a high school football game. >> he was waving it during the national anthem and picked some people of color to wave it in front of. there were people in the crowd that felt that was offensive and should be removed. >> reporter: locals have rallied around their police department as news of the shootings spread. the officers are identified as anthony beminio and justin martin. i'm kim hutcherson reporting. the bundy brothers are out of jail in oregon. now they await trial in nevada. they left jail this morning to be flown to vegas where they face more charges. a jury last week acquitted the bundies and other codefendants conspiring to impede federal employees from doing their jobs

killed in clark county rose. 42 have died. that's up from 36 at this time last year. >> but now a new way to education both pedestrians and drivers without having to way heavy fines. news 3's denise rosch has that story. >> reporter: safety advocates know many jaywalkers won't show up to court. they can't afford the ticket and the ticket goes to search warrant. a free class can wipe out those phones. ne together making this announcement. the two-hour class will help jaywalkers avoid fines or even community service. and for drivers who are ticketed for not yielding the right-of-way, they can see pricey tickets reduced significant i. the idea is to save lives. >> what we found in our court is many people are unable to pay fines. so they don't come to court. a lot of people are homeless.

problems, addiction problems. and they don't always come to court because they have issues. and so this avoids them having to avoid court. >> reporter: and the first class is expected to be held later this month. denise rosch, news 3. an update on the decision to extend the las vegas monorail on the strip. clark county commission chose not to vote today because of concerns by the southern nevada water authority. they say impact the line supplying water to the strip. >> they have a meeting scheduled on tuesday that they were counting on getting this resolved and didn't know you were bringing this forward this quickly. >> next week, representatives with mgm will meet with the southern nevada water authority in hopes of finding a solution. the vote is now expected in about two weeks. it's going to be an even busier thanksgiving at the nation's airports. u.s. airlines are expecting more travelers to fly. we have a live look at

the airline trade group airplanes for america estimates 27.3 million people will fly worldwide from november 18th through the 29th. that's up about 2.5% from last year. las vegas-based allegiant airlines is featured in a not so favorable investigation. a report shows nearly half of the airline's fleet broke down in mid-flight at least in 2015. the article says among those, 15 were engines. the report says none of the incidents prompted any kind of enforcement action from the faa. the investigation found allegiant's planes are four times more likely to break down in flight than other major airlines. during an interview, they said the airline is focused on running a better operation. a woman resists arrest with a baby in her arms.

pretty cool in summerlin. look at that. 69 degrees outside right now. a lot warmer on the east side of the valley with temperatures in the mid 70s. we're starting to break the above-normal temperature trend. winds are diminishing across the area. this morning we saw some wind gusts up to 20 miles an hour in some of our neighborhoods. 72 for pahrump. upper 70s force lake mead. 52 on the mountain and 70 degrees for indy upsprings also seeing those winds calm down a little bit this afternoon. the las vegas, mid-70s by 5:00, low 70s by 7:00. looking at the satellite, not much to talk about right now, but there is some storms developing just to the far east of us. in arizona an upper level low is developing. you can see allowing some thunderstorms to develop. across the state, it looks like it will get close to us. actually, the shower activity is going to diminish through the

58 degrees for your overnight low. temperatures will be above normal under clear skies. winds are going to be light to moderate overnight tonight. 55 degrees in overton. 30s for mount charleston. 43 for pahrump. so temperature-wise, very similar compared to last night. it will cool down very nicely. our highs tomorrow will be higher. 80s on tap for overton, lake mead. 78 for boulder city. i feel like i'm winning numbers. the weather is really going to be phenomenal. we'll wake up to a few clouds. mid-60s as you were finishing lunch. 74 for your projected temperature there. by the end of the day, a lot of sunshine. we'll be flirting with the 80s tomorrow afternoon. winds, 10, 15. nothing too drastic. as we look ahead to the next few days, that warming trend will keep going and going and going. don't forget to set your clocks

let the vehicle roll backward toward the officers that are stopped shooting at him and advanced on it using the vehicle for cover like it was a tank. he had every intention of tanging the officers with them. >> three others have been arrested. a woman caught on camera holding a baby appearing to give police a hard time. police say this started after a crash involving a drunk driver. they would not say if the mother was once police were able to get the child away from her mother, she became even more combative. they did arrest the woman and take her into custody. she now faces felony charges. well, a fire broke out at a karaoke lounge in vietnam's capital. 13 are dead. the government says that it took more than two hours for fire teams to put out the flames to allow rescuers to search for victims. police in charge of preventing fires in other buildings in the

university students came up to build a rock asteroid boulder to test the prototype of a robotic capture mod ure system. nasa and the students say this is helping engineers understand the intricate operations needed to protect a boulder from an asteroid surface. some people get excited when they hear about talk of a train service from here to southern california. plans for 19 years. tom hawley has a preview in his special report. >> amtrak service ended here in 1997. one u.s. representative from nevada wants to bring it back. but most of the attention this past decade is centered on express west, a high-speed train between here and victorville and palmdale and into l.a. they've not been able to come up with the billions of dollars needed to build. >> there's just not the money there. i don't think it will happen.
