city police and sioux city council members among others. it was an emotional day for many as you could see tears around the room for the man who served his community for so many years. i spoke with chiefeford about what his plans are from here and d says for now he would like to relax and unwind. coming up on news 4 at six, we hear more from him a his memories with the south sioux city police department. a storm lake, iowa man has been arrested for burglary. 19-year-old gatkek lieth was arrested in storm lake in the area of oak lane and russell street. an investigation linked lieth to the burglary or a aempted burglary of vehicles and garages on walnut, russell, east 12th, east 10th, east 9th, and oneida streets and oak lane early this morning. police say that lieth also burglarized vehicles earlier this week. police seized stolen money and other items from lieth upon his arrest. lieth faces multiple charges including 18 counts of bulgary to a motor vehicle. he was booked into the buena vista county jail.
of helping hide two children from iowa authorities has pleaded not guilty. the grandmother of the two children, dionne p pon, is charged with two counts of kidnappipi in the thrid degreeee and consipiracy. th stems from an incident on december 14th when a 1-year old and a 3- year old were reported missing after the family didn't turn them over to the iowa department of human services. authorities say the children were later found in a home of a relative who was unaware of the court order. her trial is set for march 22. it was a scary wake-up call for iowa state students this morning while they were campmpg out totoet great seats mondnd's game against nsas. a tent caught fire at 3-30 a-mm outside hilton coliseum. witnesses say a propane tank with a heater attached started a blanket on fire. the heater was inside the tent. no one was hurt and the three men inside were able to get out before the flames took over. when crews got there they talked to students about keeping those

innovation market. all the events are free, but some require registration. students in newell are adding their voices and faces in the fight to stop bullying. 19 high schoolers at newell fonda high school made their own bullying video. that video was shown to classmates, teachers and parents today. the video was part of a project done outside of s sool. it had one requirement... to make a message matter. and it's on a topic that mattered a lot to those that made the short film. "a lot of the people who are a part of this movie either got bullied for the color of skin they had or just what they enjoy doing like band, basketball, anything," said rachel james, who helped make the video. james says it took two weeks to create the video. the eight-minute mockumentary style video depicts the effects bullying has on a few students. using the theme equality is reality. ust want everyone t tbe kind one another and know that therare other things goi on

an s-u-v driven by a valet crashed through a massachusetts condominium building and into the pool. the incident happened early friday morning. officers say the driver backed the s-u-v up and put the automobile into drive. that's when the automobile accelerated quickly,nd plowed through the building. the driver was able to get out of the s-u-v with minor injuries according to police. investigators are trying to determine if the vehicle's floor mat got caught under the gas pedal causing the crash. well, our friday hasn't been too bad. but what will our weekend hold? ron's full forecast is coming up after the
