life march. on their way home, their bus got stuck on the pennsylvania turnpike. they have been there, along with other buses, trucks and cars since yesterday afternoon. despite the e d news, the group held mass outside the bus while on the turnpike. a new report shows cattle numbers are down in nebraska. a new u-s department of agriculture report says the number of cattle in large nebraska feedlots is down 2 percent compared to january of last year. over in south dakota, milk production has gone up. the department of aiculture says milk production in south dakota during december was up 13 percent from the previous year. the usda says production in the state in december totaled over 200 million pounds. staying in the rushmore state, egg production is down. the usda says south dakota egg production dropped during december to 37 million, down from 68 million in 2014. a late night shooting led to the arrest of one siouxland man.
were called to the follis apartments on douglas street. after an investigation of the scene, police discovered 33-year-old ryan newson fired a warning shot in the air after having a disagement with another person. soon after, officers found the gun in an apartment. newson was charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, simple assault and discharging a firearm in city limits. newson is being held at the woodbury county jail on $15,900 bond. a yankton south dakota man involved in an officer- related shooting in september was sentenced yesterday. 19-year-old trae angel was sentenced to 25 years in jail. the courtroom was full of yankton police officers as well as the mother of trtr angel. angel pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault against law enforcement, and one count aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury. officers attempted to take angel into custody in september when police say he assaulted
carjack a woman at gunpoint. he later pointed a gun at the officers. the d-c-i concluded the shooting by officer jason foot was justified. officer foot spoke at the sentencing and said he had never been in fear of his and his colleagues lives until that day. coming up on news 4 at 6 briar cliff
