cliven bundy from bunkerville got into his own standoff with the federal government over grazing fees for his land. this time it's all about two oregon ranchers who were sentenced after setting fires on federal lands. they're scheduled to report to prison today. the fbi is now taken over in figuring out how to deal with the armed protestors.. but it's a terrifying experience for people living nearby. sot jordan: "it's sort of frightening when there are people making threats and people toting guns." sot mccannon: "people are afraid." ammon bundy has said that if law enforcement shows up to their protest, they are ready to respond with force. we're now hearing from the family of the elderly man who died while riding his segway. the family of 72 year old james harrington tells us he had problems with blood clots, and didn't like to drive... that's why he used a segway to get around town. morgan edwards, james

harrington's daughter part of his retirement celebration thing was the segway so he can get back and forth to go to subway, domino's pizza, grocery store. harrington was found dead just down the road from his house near rainbow and craig saturday night. his family believes he fell off the segway, an offical cause of death hasn't been determined yet. . this morning... hundreds of people staying on the strip are trying to start their day without any power thanks to an outage at the mandarin oriental. we're told it started early yesterday morning on floors 24 to 47. the director of operations sent out a letter to residents saying they're working hard to investigate the cause. the people living there say at first management offerend to give them a free hotel room, but then they say they took it back.. and emailed them saying the outage is a maintenance issue, so people should contact their home owner's insurance to cover hotel costs. "i don't want to incur any more costs because of somebody else's inability to solve the

problem." the property says they are not sure when they will be able to get the power back on. this morning... the trial is expected to begin for a former church pastor accused of sexually assaulting girls in his congregation. if convicted, 56 year old otis holland faces life in prison on charges he abused girls as young as 7 years old. multiple women from the united faith church have testified that holland sexually assaulted them. he was known to his congregation, as "reverand otis" and was featured on the show "america's most wanted" before being arrested in mexico. holland has pleaded not guilty, and is expected to testify in his trial. also at the courthouse this morning, ammar harris is scheduled to be formally sentenced. back in november, a jury found him guilty of first degree murder, attempted murder, and weapons charges... for shooting into a car and killing a man... leading to a fiery crash that killed two other people. the jurors recommended he should be sentenced to the death penalty. time now is x:xx --- up next...

the coroner tells us 24 year old darren thomas and 22 year old jacob alan varner, died in the accident on the i-15 near craig. you see their car destroyed and burnt out. varner, who was driving the car was an airman at nellis airforce base. nhp says they think he was speeding when he lost control, and hit the median... sending him across 4 lanes of traffic... then rolling over, and bursting into flames. varner and thomas were pronounced dead at the scene.

killed by metro, after u-s marshalls were looking for him. 23 year old keith childress skipped out on a court date in phoenix, where he was supposed crimes. u-s marshalls tracked him down here in vegas. when metro officers cauut up with him, they say they thought he had a gun in his hand, and refused to drop it. when he walked towards them they opened fire, killing him. it turned out it was a cellphone in his hand. "i've never experienced a loss like this." (butted with) "i just feel like he's another victim of police brutality," that's childress's girlfriend who's pregnant with his child.
