morning...the rain just won't go away this week. and some areas of southern nevada are under a winter storm warning this morning...they could see some snow!! but how much? let's get over to meteorologist greg bennett who's tracking it all.... strongest chances for rain enter the valley today with widespread showers expected through the day. wet roads with possible local pooling will be a concern this afternoon into the overnight so take caution traveling across the city today. high temperatures will hover in the low and mid 50s with winds out of the southeast between 5-10 mph. higher elevations 6500ft and

was murdered by his own son...and they're now giving us the shocking details. 21-year-old eugene tishiyombo is accused of shooting his father in the head last week near paseo verde and green valley. they think the confrontation all started with a common dispute...the 21-year-old tells cops he wanted to play video games at home alone. his father always told him to get out more. the arrest report details the frantic moments inside the home as the suspects mother tries to find her missing husband. she even reported him missing. detectives say the tishiyombo put his father's body in his room under his bed. tshiyombo is due in court

get on the ground. get on the ground. get on the ground now.. police body-cam video is showing us what happened moments before officers say they were forced to shoot and kill a young man on new year's eve. police thought he had a gun but really he was just holding a cell phone. that leaves us asking the question about why deadly force was used and his family demanding justice. certainly the question of why not a taser, why not another option, these officers believed he was armed and number two,myopically not use taser believed to be confronting an armed suspect as well as the distance is far from rangemof a taser the video shows officers driving up on the suspect.. identified as keith childress. metro was called in to assist marshals.. who told officers childress waswanted for attempted murder in

wanted for that...it was a miscommunication. police say they asked to see childress' hands and he refused. they pleaded with him for more than two minutes. officers say he started walking toward them with what they believed was a gun in his pocket. they opened fire...killing him. cliven bundy says he's nervous about two sons' armed protest in oregon. the rancher known for his tense standoff with federal agents two years ago is now involved in a similar situation. he sent his sons to look into the case of dwight and steven hammond...and now those two have turned themselves in. the hammonds are convicted of setting federal land on fire....they originally refused to serve their five year sentence. "they're there to demonstrate against the federal government's overreaching abuse

friends...fans and family are mourning the death of country singer craig strickland this morning. after over a week-long search rescuers only found a body yesterday

disappeared when he was duck hunting in oklahoma. the backroad anthem front man was out on a boat when a winter storm caused it to capsize. his wife wrote on instagram that strickland had fought his way out of the water and up a hill before dying of hypothermia. she says he was found lying in the shape of a cross and is now in heaven with his father. strickland's friend chase morland also died in the accident. their dog was found alive. a young woman just stopping for gas in pennsylvania ends up getting held hostage for two hours. when she finally escaped it was all caught on camera. here's how it all started... 23-year-old rachel stephenson was on her way home last week when police say a man jumped into her car when she was filling up with gas. he grabbed her and said she was going for a ride with him. this lasted for two hours. "several times, i had said, 'you know, i can get out right now, i will not call the police, you can keep my phone, i won't say anything,'" she

unfolded in four separate locations. this map shows you where the crashes took place across downtown las vegas yesterday. it started when a woman ran her truck into a light police near bonanza and main.. then hit another car near pecos and stewart. here's a look at the scene from chopper 13...first over the scene. you can see a car pretty smashed up there. the worst of the accidents happened at lamb and sahara.. where the driver hit five cars before taking off again. a witness followed the woman and held her until police arrived.

the hospital. arrest report-vo now to an action news update on a story we brought you as it was breaking... the woman accused of shooting and killing a man in a 24 hour fitness parking lot is expected in court this morning. but police say megan hippie didn't do this alone...kyle staats is also accused of killing neil gandler last week. this happened near rainbow and alta and now we're getting more details from their arrest report. hippie told police her and staats were out breaking into cars. they tried to rob gandler at gun point when he was sleeping in his car. staats knocked on his window and fired a shot inside. then the two took off. tonight... friends and loved ones plan to gather to remember a man killed while riding his motorcycle. they'll be holding a memorial at 8 o'clock at the corner of jones and peak for 47 year old sheldon cooper. officers say he was riding his motorcycle last sunday night, when a female driver pulled out in front of him....killing him. for the family of ammar harris' victims...even the death sentence may not be enough.

dollar electric car factory in north las vegas.. we got our first glimpse at the car that could roll off the production line. farady future unveiled the ff- zero-one last night. it is the first concept vehicle from the electric car company... that was started just 18 months ago. designers called it a tablet on wheels... while discussing all of the technology built into the car. governor brian sandoval was among those in the crowd after striking a 215 million dollar tax incentive deal with the company to bring a planned billion dollar factory to north las vegas. everyone at the event is excited about what the factory will bring to the city. i'm excited about this. what a great kick off. this is exciting...north las vegas the state of nevada everyone is elated about this. faraday future says it hopes to break ground on the factory in a couple of weeks, and hopes to have a car roll off the production line in a couple
