breaking overnight...a trailer fire is leaving fire crews trying to piece together exactly what happened this morning....but firefighters have a guess of what caused it. we're on our way to the scene to gather the latest details. "i thought maybe a car had hit us or something....because the glass had shattered." but it wasn't a car they hit. a man is speaking exclusively with action news... it's left a lot of people shaken this morning. go1od morning las vegas! i'm dayna roselli. and i'm beth fisher. we have a lot of headlines to get to on this monday morning... but first let's head over to jessica with some breaking news... breaking overnight... a huge blaze when a trailer goes up in flames.... happened in the area of mount hood and carey clark county fire department went out there about two hours ago -- they think squatters are to blame. it's not just an ordinary trailer....
caught fire multiple times... so it's a big concern for officials we're getting better information from reporter parker collins, he's gathering details and will join us at the five am hour with a live report. high pressure has taken over the southwest for the next couple of days. this means mainly sunny to partly sunny skies are going to be common along with high temperatures getting back to nearly normal values. low to mid 50s will be common today through the work week and into the next weekend. winds are expected to be light or at our normal 5-15 mph range for most of the outlook but by friday, high pressure begins to as it stands, the low looks to develop an elongated cold front and head east. increase in moisture and a small break in stability over showers. rain chances are more so for saturday and sunday but being that this rain potential is on the back half of the forecast, confidence is still lacking.

police department the violent home invasion happened saturday near desert inn and fort apache. sean's dad...ray kilcoyne says he was in the kitchen cooking when he was suddenly surrounded by four intruders armed with guns and knives. he says the intruders tied him up..along with two other people in the home..and demanded cash from a safe. but it turns out.. not only was it empty.. he also didn't know the combination. sometime during the invasion to call 911. police showed up and scared the suspects away. no one has been arrested. now to an action news update on a deadly crash that happened over the weekend. a passenger is speaking with action news about the moments before an r- t-c bus plowed into a woman. he says the driver seemed fine...until all of a sudden the bus veered onto the curb! christopher castilow tells us he was only on the bus for a couple minutes before the crash happened. he says the driver took down the bus shelter at the stop and then ran over a woman waiting for the bus there.
the bus driver finally came to a stop a few hundred feet later. castilow is still in shock. "it was very gruesome." "i really think that maybe these bus stops are not as safe as we think they are." castilow is a frequent bus rider. he says many of the stops are too close to the roadway.... and if the stop was pushed back a foot or so -- the woman wouldn't have been killed. that wasn't the only crash. it was a deadly weekend on our roadways....leaving seven people over the past 48 hours. one of those crashes involved an s-u-v going off a bridge in north las vegas. this happened around noon yesterday. the suv ended up with its wheels in the air next to the pacific union railroad tracks. two people in the car -- a man driving and a female passenger -- were both killed on impact. police say it's a sad reminder for drivers... 14:44:08 aaron patty, north las vegas police department "this is something tragic where we've lost two people this day.
north las vegas so a good reminder for people to slow down and be aware of your surroundings." police say the driver was speeding.. now they're still trying to figure out if the driver had been drinking. just hours before that... a cadillac driver died after rear ending a semi on the i-15 southbound near the 95. the man inside the cadillac died at the scene but the semi driver wasn't hurt.. nhp shut down lanes on the 15 for almost 6 hours while they investigated. one person is waking up in the hospital this morning after a saturday night crash killed two others. it happened at the intersection of boulder highway and desert inn. the driver and a passenger in one of the vehicles were both taken to the hospital in critical condition--but they didn't survive. the other driver is still in the hospital with serious injuries. no word yet on whether alcohol or speed were factors in the crash. and just after midnight saturday morning, a man died... when he lost control of his motorcycle and went down. this happened on dean martin under the flamingo overpass.
