assault on a minor under 16.. and one-count of lewdness of minor. holland pleaded not guilty last week and even offered to take a polygraph to prove his innocence. his defense lawyer says the accusers made-up the stories because they were jealous of his relationships with other women. metro has arrested this woman.... after a man was found shot to death..... inside an empty home. -37- year-old michelle horn.... now faces charges of murder and robbery.... with a deadly weapon. it happened.... two months ago... near flamingo and decatur. neighbors say.... the home was occupied.... by squatters. right now... police are looking for a man.... who shot another man and took off. it happened this morning.... near lake mead and hollywood. officers were called out..... after getting several calls but... is expected to be okay. the presidential candidates are starting to focus more on nevada.. as we close in on the first votes of the primary season. on the democratic side.. former president bill clinton is in las vegas to campaign for his wife hillary.

"poor jeb, he's doing another commercial. he's a maniac. he's a poor guy. i feel sorry. he's like a lost soul." then he moved on to democratic candidate - hillary clinton.

"the love locket" -- this well-known heart-shaped piece of artwork where visitors could attach their own lock to show that they were there -- was the victim of vandalism. we're told it happened around one this morning right in front of the container park when the vandals apparently hooked up a truck to the front of the sculpture and tore off the front of the piece -- leaving a scattered mess and destroying

officer to stand trial for a deadly shooting on the job.. in the last six years. an action news update on a former oklahoma city police officer.. accused of sexual assault. -29- year old.... daniel holtzclaw was sentenced to life in prison.... today. a judge handed down prison terms.... totaling -2- hundred -63- years.. after holtzclaw was convicted on -4- counts of first-degree rape and 14 other charges. prosecutors say... holtzclaw targeted and sexually assaulted women.... while on patrol. his defense lawyer is already planning.... to appeal. a video going viral is raising awareness to the "gun show loophole"... in the law... "did you ever buy a gun before? no. never." a video is going viral.. showing how easy it is to buy a gun in nevada. comedian steve hofstetter took the video along with a friend at a gun show in henderson. in it.. hoffstetter.. who is not a nevada resident.. makes it obvious to the saleswoman that his friend is buying the gun for him. but.. he says it didn't slow the process down. within five minutes.. they walk out with a gun. "did he pass?" "i passed. i'm all good." "surprised the heck out of me. that's not long at all." hofstetter then goes on to show other things that are more difficult than buying a gun.. like renting a car or getting a fishing license. he says he took the video to show gun sales need to be more strict. we've posted the full video on our website.. people in one central las vegas neighborhood say.... squatters are taking over the area. they say... no one will help them.... and channel 13 was their last resort. when "you ask, we investigate". contact 13... investigative reporter.....

to show us what's going on. stephanie.. people in the area say the walgreens behind me is the epicenter of the camp for homeless people and squatters...and it's really affecting people who live in the apartments behind the shuttered store. we went right up to it and could hardly believe what we saw. it was like a real living area. there was food, utensils, cooking supplies, even vitamins all neatly tucking in behind the walgreens. several homeless people approached us and told us this is where they live. but the people living legally at the apartments just a stone's throw away say it's a mess for them derek robertson lives near homeless camp 12.24.02 you're just constantly wondering, looking over your shoulder because there's people coming through the complex 08 breaking into the mailboxes 10 digging through the trash cans 12 we called metro and they said they'd make their community policing unit in the area aware of the situation. coming up on action news live at six, we'll show you what they did.

valley, soc we're following a developing story along the east coast where a winter storm is already causing travel nightmares around the nation's capitol. tonight.. washington d-c is preparing for an epic blizzard.. after botching a trial run. a smaller storm arrived last night with only 2-inches of snow.. but it caused dozens of crashes and complete gridlock on d-c streets. even president obama was caught in the icy conditions. his motorcade needed an hour to make a trip that usually only takes 20-minutes. today.. the mayor says the city dropped the ball. we are very sorry for inadequate response. we believe that we did not provide adequate resources at a time where it could make a difference in last evening's commute. a state of emergency has already been declared in d-c. forecasters predict the bigger

southwest on saturday as a dying cold front heads our direction, those winds will give the temperatures the kick they need to get back above 60 but the front will also bring a chance for showers later in the day. rain chances are spotty as of right now, and look to be better to the north and east, but they'll come during prime weekend celebration time - between 7pm saturday night and about 4am sunday morning. skies clear out sunday with breezy and cool winds coming to dry things out with another potentially stronger wind producer following on monday and tuesday. wednesday the skies finally clear out and our temperatures return back into the mid 60s
