daughter. action news reporter parker collins is live in mountain's edge with more. parker? he's so terrified and frustrated... he called us hoping to get some help. it started when he and his daughter were coming home last night... they walked in and saw the pantry door open and the back door just bashed to bits. he says he hears someone upstairs... so he takes his daughter and bolts. he showed us his phone... where he called police several times asking for help... starting before nine thirty. we watched police show up after midnight! michael prescott, home burglarized 2:20:48-2:21:00 "my daughter said 'daddy, what happened to the door? somebody broke into our house,' and then we could hear somebody upstairs. at that point i grab my daughter and run back out the garage." he wants to get out of here now... scared to be at home anymore....

channel thirteen action news. breaking overnight... a woman attacked right in front of her own home in summerlin... the story is really frightening to think about. this happened near anasazi and town center.. and you can tell from the video it's a nice neighborhood. metro says around midnight the woman was approached by two men wearing masks... and they threw her to the ground. a shot was fired... possibly grazing the victim. she was not taken to the hospital, but detectives talked to her... and they are investigating. new this morning... police are investigating a murder on elkhorn road...that's near cheyenne and lamb. this all happened around 9:30 last night. one person was shot to death at an apartment complex there. we are working on getting more

shocking surveillance video this morning..showing thieves stealing a piece of artwork from the container park in downtown las vegas... you can see the thieves taking off with a piece of the love locket... it's a well-known work of art where visitors could attach their own lock, showing they were there. we're told the crooks hooked up a truck to the sculpture, tearing off the front of it...leaving the iconic art piece destroyed. "sad to see a piece of it gone." the downtown project says they just want to recover the missing pieces of the sculpture so it can be restored. if you know anything about this crime... call metro right away. this morning..homeowners are not happy to say the least... over their new solar energy plans. solar n-v held a meeting last night to try and calm some of their nerves... unfortunately, not too much

more details and video... on this auto pedestrian accident on casino and bonanza.. it happened just after 3:30 this morning the pedestrian was jay walking, and hit while crossing the street. the person is now at the hospital in critical, but stable condition no arrests were made. t-s-a agents have an important job of keeping our airports safe...and it seems they have their hands full when it comes to finding guns. the t-s-a says more than 26-hundred guns were found in carry-on luggage last year. more than 82 percent of those weapons were loaded. the guns were found at over 200 u.s. airports during security checks. airports in dallas, atlanta, houston, denver and phoenix saw the most confiscated guns last year. weapons are allowed on checked bags but they have to be unloaded and you have to let the airline know.
