they feel something went wrong here. 12 year old maxine came home with a stomach ache and neck pain and three days later was in a hospital dying. parents say they originally took her to spring valley hospital where she was only prescribed nausea pills. but hours later was taken to umc-- where family was told it may be a virus...but nothing more. 13 action news did reach out to the nevada health district who says they are not investigating the case.. but now parents who have kids closest to maxine are worried too... sot: 00-:12 "she's not with us today because something was overlooked that is the most scary thing...it could happen to anybody" the family is has posted a go fund me-- for help with legal fees and another one for help with funeral cost. you can find a link to both of those on our website-- ktnv dot com live from jones and flamingo lesley marin 13 action news. we're following some major weather developments from the midwest..

"you asked us.... into what happened... to "little rudy". managers at henderson petland were too busy to talk with us again today. but their corporate office is finally speaking about this photo that has been shared hundreds of times. petland's corporate office sent us a statement today, saying in part: "the puppy was eating well and exhibited no health issues other than being on the low-end of the ideal weight range for his age and breed." the vet for petland who examined him here says he is underweight, but not emaciated. so we went to some breed experts at the rhodesian ridgeback club of the united states. one member said, she was "appalled at the emaciated condition" of the puppy. three different board members
