tonight as high pressure makes its way onto shore from the southern california coast. upper 70s. what changes is the winds speeds. throughout the day, winds will gradually pick up speed starting between 5 and 15 mph this morning and working up to with a low that forms just southeast of phoenix which allows the low to grow. this will allow a major drop in temperatures and gusty conditions for tuesday. highs are expected in the mid and upper 60s with sustained winds between 15 and 25 mph. gusts look to range between 30 between 40 and 50 mph. by wednesday, winds lighten up and sunny skies continue through the weekend. high temperatures slowly make their way back to the upper 70s by thursday/friday afternoon. breaking overnight...police are

hit and run crash with a man on a bicycle. the rider is recovering in the hospital this morning. this all happened near rainbow and warm springs just beofre 1:30 this morning. that's an area area with a lot of construction. the bicyclist was going south on raibow when he was hit by car... they are recovering on the hospital, but expected to be okay. karen turnbo (mother) 17: 01:29-17:07:10 i think i'm going to lose my son. i don't know.. he's my baby. a family turns to action news as their loved one fights for his life. this morning, they have a message for the person who put him in a coma. karen turnbo says she was at work friday morning, when she heard about the possible hit and run near tropicana and jones. she tells us she was instantly concerned, because her son

in 24 states. several airlines have banned hoverboards, and amazon if offering refunds for them. the red cross is helping two adults and three children, after a fire destroys their apartment. crews were called to the scene near lamb and owens around 6-30 yestterday morning. they were able to put the flames out, but it still caused about 20 thousand dollars in damage. fire and rescue is still looking into what started the blaze. just after midnight on sunday, clark county firefighters were out at an apartment near arville and flamingo. a fire broke out on the stove and spread throughout the unit, leaving a lot of damage. the family living there is also displaced. a north carolina supermarket employee's heart stops while he's stocking shelves... but thankfully someone was in the right place at the right time. after the 60 year old collapsed, a high school student.. who's studying to be an e-m-t, rushed over and started doing c-p-r. james crossno, high school student "i checked his respirations and his pulse, we

two nurses who happened to be shopping jumped into help too, pushing on the man's chest. eventually emt's got there, and rushed the man to the hospital. it was so quick one of the first responders didn't even realize the life they were trying to save, was his dad's. steve kiddy, valdese f.d. emt "it's a different experience once you realize it's a family member." the grocery store employee is now recovering. his son says he cannot say thank you enough to the people who stepped up to save him. time now is x:xx --- up next a desperate plea from the wife of a murder victim. someone will be able to tell them what happened. 13 action news reporter yasmeen hassan is live near lake mead and marion, where there is a growing memorial for heriberto diaz marcial. his family tells us diaz has been walking down this street for 16 years... he's never had an issues - until saturday morning. they say he was heading home work around 1am when he had some kind of interaction. police say someone may have been trying to rob him - but then ended up shooting him in the chest. now his family is left wondering who could something like this to the man they loved. my husband was a good man.

a man and a woman drove themselves to the cosmopolitan. the other woman was found in the middle of the road. the victims have been identified as 27-year-old melissa yvette mendoza and 27-year old jennifer margarita chicas. in just hours, the father arrested after his 12 year old son accidentally shot himself is due in court for the first time. olin manuel is facing charges for child abuse and neglect, as well as owning a gun when he's not supposed to. his son sincere, died on february 13th from the gunshot wound. metro says the investigation into the boy's death is still on-going. developing this morning... detectives in kalamazoo michigan are working to figure out what caused an uber driver to go on a random shooting spree... killing 6 people. he's getting ready for his first court appearance today. investigators are looking into whether the suspected gunman was taking customers in between the shootings on saturday.

islands saturday night. this morning the clean up begins. the country is under a state of emergency this morning and all schools there are closed for the whole week. winds were over 1-75 miles per hour causing flooding...power outages and lots of damage. right now... it's clean up time in florida. take a look at the damage left behind from several tornadoes that hit the area. you can see the homes crumbled and trees ripped down. people living there say they are struggling to recover because since the damage wasn't extensive enough, officials couldn't declare a federal disaster. that means homowners won't get any aid from the government, and they are not happy about that. :30-:38 it would make a difference because they could pay some men themselves and send them in to help, everybody needs help all the houses around here are gone. leaders say they are still working to get emergency funds from the state and other
