we've been telling you that parts of the i-15 were shut down due to the blue cut fire.. but we want to remind you, it's back open in both directions at cajon pass. here's a live look at 15 near primm. the blue cut fire is still burning, it's only 22 percent contained... but that's an improvement from yesterday. firefighters have gained some control over the wildfire burning in san bernardino county, californi tuesday. right now...the fire has burned 56 square miles..... some residents who were forced out only had minutes to pack what little they could.... nats - lisa gregory, little creek 20:01:25 there were a lot of things up there that we weren't able to pack that we absolutely no control - there is nothing you can do. the san bernardino county sheriff's department said that evacuation orders east of the freeway were lifted.

lochte- gate.... the olympic swimmer now apologizing....for claiming he and 3 other teammates were robbed at gunpoint.... this comes as a brazilian media outlet says those other swimmers....are not backing lochte...saying the olympic gold swimmer was lying... just hours ago....he posted to social media saying "i want to apologize for my behavior last weekend.....for not being more caef descirbed the events of that early morning." but police in rio.... claim this video from a gas station.....tells a much different story- you can see one of the swimmers pull a sign off a wall....and lochte....comes out of the bathroom.....where the gas station owner say the men broke down a door.... sot ryan lochte "the guy pulled out his gun. he cocked it, put it to my forehead. two of the swimmers - gunnar bentz and jack conger - landing

new jersey leaves 1 person dead and officials believe speed could have play a factor.... one of the buses is seen on its side and at least five people have been treated for injuries.... this happen in newark. the bus driver is the one among the dead.... said that the driver who was killed was a long time employee. another aircraft crashes...less than 24 hours after a pilot ejects himself from a fighter jet near the nellis airforce base.... here's a look at the type of aircraft involved in the crash... this is an h-h-60. officials with the air force base tell us the crash happened around 10 last night. we're told four crew members were taken to a local medical facility and treated for minor injuries. it's still not clear what

and...early thursday morning...a civilian fighter jet crashed near the nellis air force base... this plane just crashed, it's pretty crazy we're told the pilot was role playing with trainees from a military weapons school-- pretending to be an enemy pilot. on the way back to the base.. he realized something was wrong, and ejected from the plane. the crash could be seen and heard from miles away. the pilot walked away with only minor injuries. new this midday.. donald trump and his running ma, pence toured baton rouge today. the two met volunteers and were cheered by the crowd in front of "samaritan's purse mobile kitchen." president obama has been called on to cut his vacation short in martha's vineyard to visit louisiana. and....a rare admission from trump .. the presidential candiate acknowledging that there have been times when he didn't say the right thing. (show dc metro) to subways....... escalator fails lead to more than twelve thousand er visits every year........ flora kim found that out the hard way when her two year old son became entangled in one during a family trip to hawaii. sot/ flora kim 1:23:38 his left foot was pretty much tucked into the left side of the and by the time the escalator stopped, you could really only see his ankle // the rest was completely gone. the little boy was wearing crocs-the popular pliable shoe-when his foot got stuck trapping the boy for over an hour. now flora and david kang are suing crocs because they say the shoes are - quote - negligently and improperly designed the texas couple also suing hilton hawaiian village for failure "to operate and maintain" the hotel's escalator. crocs didn't respond to a request for comment, and the hotel saying they do not comment on pending litigation.

"erika poremski" had just quickly stepped out to her car in the 68-hundred block of gough street sunday night when she turned back to find her house engulfed in flames. she could hear her eight-month-old daughter viviana inside. couldn't get to her and i tried in...kicking the windows out...and it was just...i couldn't..no one could." firefighters got into the house quickly... and came back out with "viviana"... and an incredible story. they said that they found erika's dog polo in the room with the baby...and he was covering her with his body. a six-week-old kitten has a new home.... after surviving an 80 mile journey under the hood of a car. kelly hawthorne drove from clinton, missouri back home to shawnee, kansas on sunday. she heard meowing.... popped the hood and discovered the kitten... who ran off. later on the family went out to eat and on the drive home... realized the cat was back under the hood! hawthorne said it appears the kitten really wanted to be a part of the family.
