helicopter in the water at a massachusettes reservoir. these are live pictures of the scene. you can state police on the ground. they're using boats to search for the helicopter. they also have people looking from airplanes. two confirmed tornadoes flatten buildings near central indiana. thousands of people are without power. plus... gunfire erupts at an american univeristy in afghansitan. now one person is dead and more than a dozen are wounded. but first...... the death toll from a powerful earthquake in italy is up to 159. hundreds are injured .. and many more are still missing. the six-point-two magnitude quake leveled buildings and destroyed entire neighborhoods in the mountains northeast of rome the rescue crews racing against the clock to dig out survivors.. in many cases with their bare hands officials put the epicenter near the busy summer tourist town of amatrice but the tremors were felt across a vast area of the country.. trafficking. this is david coil. police say he lured in his victims using craigslist. he's at ccdc now. anyone who thinks their child may have been a victim of coil's is encouraged to call police right away. police just released this mugshot for a man suspected of murder. metro arrested juan rubio yesterday. investigators say rubio killed a man over the weekend near stewart nellis. they say it started as a shouting match and qui stabbing. also developng at this hour... at least one person is dead.. killed during an attack on an american university in the capital city of afghanistan. 18 others are wounded. right now.. ambulances.. security forces and search and rescue teams on scene in kabul. the blast happened around 7 p- m local time, when students were gathering to eat... the attack comes two weeks after two university staff members were kidnapped from their car by unknown gunmen.

3 people overdosed in one house..and one man overdoses while driving through an intersection. in another case, a man overdosed with his child in the car at a gas station. authorities say most of the calls came from the same part of town. fire crews say they worked to could. the heroin problem continues to plague cities across the country. more than 100 americans die from drug overdoses each day. emergency officials are on high alert in downtown los angeles after nearly twenty people overdosed on a drug presumed to be synthetic marijuana --or spice. it happened monday in the skid row area -- where drug use is widespread among the homeless population. this isn't the first outbreak there-- on friday, fifty people were checked out by
