help finding his killer. we're told the teenager was shot after midnight near lake mead and pecos. he was taken to umc trauma where he died. action news was fast and first to the neighborhood where detectives told us they are looking for a blue pick up truck that left the scene. they say the shooting does not appear to be accidental. we'll stay on top of this story and bring you the latest on air and online. we are also on top of breaking news overseas -- at person is dead and 15 others hurt after an explosion in barcelona. these are the first images just coming in into our newsroom. the blast happened just before 8-30 am local time at a seven story apartment building in the city of premia de mar. most of the residents were asleep at the time and one person was spotted dangling naked from a window... right now at least 29 people are recovering after a massive scare in the heart of the biggest city in the nation. an explosion rocked manhattan last night police and fire officials responded and said

inside a garbage dumpster. mayor bill deblasio says the explosion was an "intentional act" though not necessarily terrorism. cnn's jessica schneider tells us how it all unfolded. nats - over scene video there was a huge explosion. and i saw the back window of an suv pop out and all the glass went into the street and my wife and i just looked at each --surveillance video obtained by m-s-n-b- c captures the chaos. "it felt like a lightning bolt struck the building. and everyone ran out of the restaurant. the whole city was in the street." (bill de blasio, mayor) "we believe at this point in time it was an intentional act." the explosion around 8-30 p-m in the chelsea neighborhood was in or near a dumpster, according to a law enforcement source. dozens of people were injured - "i'm willing to help --- come with me." and on spring mountain near polaris. this morning a man is behind bars after an hours-long swat standoff. it happened at an apartment complex -- near u-n-l-v yesterday. the man inside armed with a machete. police tell us it began as a domestic dispute -- but quickly ramped up. we're told the victim is his pregnant girlfriend. she was able to get out without being injured, but she was taken to the hospital -- for unrelated medical issues. a motorcyclist was bad police tell us the rider was taken to the hospital -- in serious condition after they rammed into the back of a truck -- near horizon and pacific. the rider is recovering right now -- at university medical center. another motorclyclist is dead after a crash near owens and eastern. you first saw this story on good morning las vegas. it happened just before one yesterday morning. police say the rider somehow flipped over -- and was thrown off his bike. witnesses say the man was speeding and doing "wheelies". the victim later died at

aggressive arrest at san-diego state univeristy is going viral. witnesses say the student wasn't violent. and the reaction -- quick.. the african-american student union washo protest -- outside the administration building. but police say -- about 90 minutes into the protest the man appeared to be on drugs -- and resisted arrest. a 13 action news update now to that descrimination laswuit agains wynn las vegas. the hotel-casino is accused of discriminating -- against a worker with post-traumatic stress disorder. a u-s- army vet working as a security guard says -- the company required him to work overtime. he says that aggravates his condition. he asked for a different

run into the back of mom. they could hit the side of the car. and you know what? if we're not buckled, our body is going to hit something." a woman in arizona has called police to teach her little daughter a lesson about seat belt safety. michelle fortin says her 3-year-old unbuckled her seat belt during a ride home. she then pulled over and explained to the girl why seat belts are important. but the mom later decided that the lesson needed to be so she called police in scottsdale, who were more than happy to come and back her up. d'licious... 31:38 d: yeah, we've been here before. we recognized the familiar surroundings at the vietnamese restaurant on spring mountain between arville and decatur. 33:40 d: did you take over from a previous restaurant? because we've been at this location before but it was called something else. ngoc tran: we're new. the owner is new. ngoc tran says pho d'licious took over in may, and they've already almost been shut down with a 39-demerit c grade. like, bad credit in the kitchen because the kitchen staff at first didn't, like, wash hands properly. one food handler scratched the side of their head and then handled food. another handled raw beef then went right to ready-to-eat food and clean bowls. there were also issues with the food. 32:43 nt: some of the food inventory--some of the milk we had--to be honest--expired exactly the day before thomas come in. thomas--with whom they're on a first- name basis--is the

at a fertilizer plant. people there worry -- what will this do to their drinking water? (sot: melanie woods) the first word that comes to mind when you hear radioactive is cancer. (sot: amy gibson) i have kids, i don't want them drinking it if it is contaminated mosaic -- which operates the plant -- claims it warned the state back in august. the company says they're working around the clock to recover the toxic wastewater. but they warn -- the process could take months to complete. now to the latest on the rapidly spreading zika virus. are now expanding the transmission area -- nearly doubling it in size. this morning more aerial spraying is expected.. some people are more afraid of that than the virus. 036 i actually think....spraying butt to 057 we're scaeed of zika....all of the above health officials say spraying is safe and necessary to keep zika from spreading. they say a fifth of a sample pool of mosquitos came back zika positive... spraying today will only cover the original transmission zone...and not the newly expanded one.
