presidential nominee "donald trump is unfit and unqualified to be president." donald trump and hillary clinton are just hours away from taking the stage in las vegas for the final presidential debate... we have team coverage of the final preps at u-n-l-v and the latest controversies on both sides all eyes are on las vegas this morning for the final presidential debate at the thomas and mack center... hillary clinton and donald trump w stage in just over 12 hours with millions of people watching! there is a lot going on in our city leading up to the big event tonight... various protests and rallys are sceduled all around town today... and road closures will be in effect that's why we want to get started with dan bronis who's tracking those road closures in the traffic center... ahead of the debate both candidates are dealing with

our crews were fast and first boulevard and washington. police say one man was stabbed, he is expected to survive. officers do have one person in custody.. also breaking overnight - a shooting in the northwest part of the valley. police tell us around10:30 two people were shot in the leg, near tenaya and cheyenne... we're still waiting on more information from police...we'll bring that to you as soon as we get it. now to the northeast part of the valley - we are just now getting new information on a deadly crash.

it happened near lake mead and nellis, around 7 p-m last night. police say the man was in a quote "implied" crosswalk at the time.. the driver is cooperating with officers. this morning a grandmother is behind bars accused f smuggling half a million dollars worth of cocaine through mccarran!! police say 63-year-old cheryl cheatham from pheonix was flying to detroit last friday when she snuck the drugs in her two suitcases. federal agents nabbed her at baggage claim in detroit after she started acting suspicious. officials say cheatham has a long crim back to 1972. a local bus driver is speaking out right now after he says he was attacked by a middle school student on his bus! sot they were swearing at me, saying specific things that we cant say on camera. butted with sot one of the students in particular during that process happened to push me a couple of times. that's what ralph murphy...a 12- year-year veteran school bus driver says happened friday on his bus. he turned the bus around when

he's worried because unlike teachers, it's hard to discipline students when he has to keep his eyes on the road. we reached out to clark county school district and they say they're aware of the incident and are investigating. they released a statent that reads-- in part-- quote "the bus is an extension of the classroom, and any student who uses physical action may face disciplinary action." pause for 5 seconds of nats of fighting three teens have now been arrested in connection with a in-n-out and raising canes in the north west... police say the teens all 14 to 16 years old were involved in these fights that happened earlier this month. it started after a fooball game between arbor view and centennial high schools. four people were injured. police say they're still looking for one more suspect the story of a brave 11-year-old boy is teaching all of us a lesson this morning...

that's burning outside of los angeles. the fire started late last night. no word on how it started. right now the big thing out there is the wind. it's just making things worse for firefighters - and causing the fire to spread even faster. putting a housing there, that's crazy he is planning to build a city the size of boulder city. right now red rock is at the center of a fight ...over a new development to build 5-thousand new homes. 13 action news took their concerns straight to the person representing the developer, during last night's clark county planning commission meeting. for people that say this is going to harm the environment , you say? well there is no environment ron krater says most of the land they're planning to use on

a routine call for a phoenix firefighter turned personal when he realized he was on his way to his parent's house. firefighter derek dee says all he heard on the call was the word "code." that means someone has no heartbeat and isn't breathing... he then saw the address was at his parent's house. "that's the worst call i could get to that address" butted with "she came into the office where i was watching tv and noticed i was gasping" derek was the one to shock his at the home. his dad got his heartbeat back, along with a pacemaker.
