we're told the blast happened at a business around one this morning. this is at an underground electrical company. firefighters found the building on fire..and quickly put the flames out. nobody was hurt..and it's still unclear what caused the blast. somebody who lives nearby says the explosion was so strong it shook her home and blew out the window of her patio door. . 1:13-1:15 "it's unfortunate that we're out here

investigating it's third murder case in just 24 hours... and this morning they're searching for multiple people on the run. police tell us around 8 last night, they got multiple calls about gun shots near bonanza and 10th street. they believe two men and a woman in a red jeep cherokee drove up to a home, and at least one of them opened fire. the male victim was hit once in the chest. investigators think the shooting was drug related. tuesday night-- metro officers were called out to two sep fatal shootings. the left scene was near rainbow and windmill, where they say a man confessed to shooting his son. the suspect is now being identified as michael gardenhire. the other murder, started out as a custody dispute between two exes near flamingo and durango. police say a stranger came up and shot the man, right in front of his young son... and ex-girlfriend. carlo concepcion, neighbor 14:41:52:05 it started off with some arguments, lasted a good

but the next thing we knew there was a loud bang last night's deadly shooting makes 157 murders for the year in metro's jurisdiction. officers tell us the record is 167 in 19-96... a number they're hoping they don't break... during the holidays. metro says you can help them find package thieves. but it requires you to hand over some information. marissa kynaston is live near durango and tell us what metro is requesting of home owners today. this is all you need to register your camera-- you can see its only a few questions-- and you can submit it online. the program is called vegas safe cam. its designed to cut back on property crime-- and help police find people responsible for different crimes caught on camera. police say a lot of times-- a homeowner-- or a business owner-- may have caught a crime

they're so worried about their safety-- they feel like their prisoners in their own homes. people living near lake mead and hollywood say homeless people took over this vacant lot, after the stores there went out of business months ago. there's locks and a fence-- but it's not stopping anyone. the rogers foundation sent letters to k thru 12 schools across the district yesterday-- outlining different safeguards they believe ccsd should put in place. being a "sanctuary school" means they wouldn't turn-in undocumented students to immigration authorities. c-c-s-d has not responded to the proposal, but right now... a petition is circulating at unlv to make it a sanctuary school. the rogers foundation is an organization that gives scholarships to students and grants to art programs. our new hockey team owner is after reports that the u-s army had problems with it, because its elite parachute team has long been known as "the golden knights." bill foley, who's a west point graduate told espn he has complete respect for the army... and "use of the name 'vegas golden knights' was based upon nevada being the largest gold producing state in the country.. and the golden tones of the las vegas strip. he added..

sentenced-v here at home... a former molasky junior high teacher who admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with a student will spend at least three years in jail. nicole wilfinger pleaded guilty in august to statutory sexual seduction and sexual conduct between a school employee and a student. she was arrested in april. according to the police report.. the victim was a family friend. the federal government is now stepping in at an idaho elementary school. they say classes ca be divided by boys and girls.. the boise school has divided classrooms by sex for a decade. the school says it was an effort to boost boys performance in reading and writing and girls in math. the u-s department of education says this type of segregation violates title nine...which prohibits gender discrimination in education. leo morales: "and if you teach based on gender stereotypes the outcome can sometimes be very hurtful both for boys and for girls butted with :42-:48 sometimes we do get, well the

for more than 4-hundred people with developmental disabilities. google is warning cutomers to stay away from uncertified apps..that hackers are using to infect millions of android phones! the apps are fake and not downloaded from google play. they contain malware that tracks users. it also installs other legitimate android apps, rating them high and fraudulently inflating their reputations. google says it has blocked 150- thousand vers cyberattack. good news for binge-watchers... you can now dowload shows and movies from netflix and watch them offline later... the new feature isn't available for everything on the streaming service. you can download many popular shows including "breaking bad"..."stranger things" and "house of cards" to name a few. the streaming service made the announcement yesterday...
