he asked police for information... talked to his family... facebook video: "to my family... (opens mouth) officers set up a command center nearby... and monitored martinez' facebook page... aaron patty pio north las vegas police i cant say thats somethign we see everyday however it does pop up like it has today but thats something its a different dynamic in every situation police finally talked martinez out of the home... and took him into custody. i mean there was so many things going through my mind i was please dont do this you dont need to go out like that it would be horrible to see a friend take his own life im glad he didnt im glad everythign is safe and good reporter tag tonight i talked to martinez' cousin and aunt online. they live in mexico but have been following the case. they tell me martinez is in the hospital tonight. a metro police officer--is arrested during a

accused of holding his girlfriend against her will. he's expected to make his first court appearance this morning. james burt was taken into custody tuesday-- accused of choking-- and beating his girlfriend. she says burt attacked her when she tried to leave his house late monday night following an argument . he has been relieved of duty without pay pending the results of the internal investigation. metro says burt was arrested back in 2011 on another domestic violence related case. we are now getting a look at the man-- police say is responsible for the first homicide of the year in henderson. this is daron clanton.... police say the 22- year-old killed his father kevin clanton on monday. according to the arrest report--- police say clanton shot his father after an argument. he told police his father got physical-- so he grabbed a gun-- and when his father started walking toward him-- he started firing-- unloading the entire clip. clanton now faces an open murder charge. hundreds of solar advocates rallied at a public utilities

taste of hollywood right here in the valley. matt damon is in town--- making his mark... as filming continues for the next installment of the bourne movie franchise. more's rachel smith reports. he's been all over the world on one mission after another. nats "someone started all this... and i'm gonna find them" but jason bourne has never been to vegas until now! several days into the movie shoot and matt damon and company have been spotted all over town! starting at mccarran airport last week, then moving downtown to the bus stop and this week the action's been taking

strip! nats of damon at aria walking thru casino guests at aria have been posting video and pictures of the shoot... and of the letter they got alerting them to the filming. it not only mentioned areas in the casino where scenes are being shot, but alerted guests of the "gunfire" they may hear during the shoot. and overnight - areas of the strip were shutdown for a car stunt outside of bally's. but that's just the beginning! and come october all eyes will be on las vegas... as unlv plays host to the final presidential debate. "nats of the band " the university is working with the l-v-c-v-a to get the community pumped up for the political event. a new logo for the debate was unveiled. its slogan "let freedom ring." governor brian sandoval and other state leaders were on hand for the start of a yearlong effort highlighting our city's role. "we have this final presidential debate. it really puts nevada on the map, puts unlv on the map. i can't wait to make that impression. the final presidential debate is on october 19th... at the thomas and mack. with the iowa caucuses just two weeks away... it's time to get serious... the next gop debate is tonight...

from charleston, south carolina. shively says: "it looks like it's going to be a fight between donald trump and senator ted cruz at the g- o-p debate tonight." the stage is all set for tonight's debate in charleston...which is being hosted by the fox business network. and the candidates have been gearing up all week. trump says: "ted cruz, he's been really nice other than the last couple of days he's gotten a little testy, i've been waiting. you gotta make sure you can run. a lot of lawyers say you can't run if you do that. you can't run if you do that. you can't be born in canada. you can't be a canadian citizen." trump continues to hit cruz hard on his citizenship... as the texas senator and the billionaire are neck and neck in many iowa polls. cruz says: "you know it's very issued did not seem to concern donals until just a little over a week ago when suddenly he was trailing in the
