with pedestrians and drivers to stay alert on the roadways, this after a woman was killed after police say she stepped onto a it happened last night on sahara near valley view. witnesses told officers the woman stepped off the median and into oncoming traffic just feet away from the pedestrian cross walk. they say an suv hit her, she was taken to umc where she later died. richard strader sgt metro/ we're starting off here and we're at 7 and it's an auto ped and we ended up on a high note auto pedestrian collisions at the end of the year last year and this is not what we want to see in clark county. police say the driver of the suv was not impaired and is cooperative with police. they say he is the one who called 911. the woman has not been identified. police are asking for your help to find two men they say held up a local store. it happened last month at a

near rainbow and lake mead. police say the suspects threatened employees with a weapon and robbed took off with merchandise. thankfully no one was hurt. if you recognize either of these men please call police or crimestoppers at 702-385-55-55. three americans released as a part of a prisoner swap with iran are recovering in a german hospital this morning. hours after the u-s lifted sanctions on iran for complying with parts of the nuclear deal the two countries announced the release of prisoners held in each country. the u-s - setting seven prisoners free as part of a negotiated swap. and iran - releasing five prisoners, four as part of the swap. washington post journalist jason rezaian is among those released. rezaian and two others - marine veteran amir hekmati and pastor saeed abedini - are currently in germany where they are undergoing medical checkups. american student matthew trevithick was also released -- but not as part of the prisoner swap

vegas republican presidential candidate carly fiorina is meeting with her supporters. this as we get closer to the iowa caucuses... followed by the nevada caucuses. fox five's abby theodros spoke with voters at fiorina's town hall at the siena community center. carly fiorina spoke to a las vegas crowd of about 200 sunday morning. with some supporters kat mcmahon: shes real. shes real. and i love my country and i want it back. and some still on the fence... david kates- vegas: mainly im just interested. not here to support her or not support her. the republican presidential hopeful -who says she is still going strong in spite of reports a fading campaign - touched on everything from gun control and abortion to religious freedom but she also focused in on the silver state. your governor's rolled out this new program around education savings accounts. where parents can own state money and if there kid is in a failing situation they can take that money and take

another situation where they can succeed. that's the the republican backed "school choice program" allows parents to thousand dollars from the state for qualified education expenses. fiorina called it a "great new program" - for families to succeed. the program is currently on hold pending court deliberations. i think we are being told to sit down and be quiet about ...the federal government's abuse of power in owning 80 percent of the public lands. fiorina also took a stand on the heated debate surrounding land ownership in america. earlier this month- armed protestors incuding the son of nevada rancher cliven bundy occupied a federal wildlife refuge in oregon. we ought to start a transfer program from the federal government back to the states because we know these lands arent well managed by the federal government they dont clear the timberlands effectively we know private sector companies do that better.

donald trump will speak to voters at the south point. the nevada republican caucus is scheduled for tuesday february 23. thousands of people in the valley will honor the life and legacy of dr. martin luther king junior. the 34-th annual martin luther king jr parade will take place today in downtown las vegas . it starts at ten a-m. hundreds of floats... marching bands and dancers will take part in the parade. this year's theme -- "living the dream; the movement continues". there will be some road closures in downtown las vegas the parade starts at fourth street and ends north of stewart. that area will be closed from 6 a-m to 2 p-m. the national hockey league's executive committee is expected to meet in new york, wednesday to discuss expansion bids by the city of las vegas and quebec city.

weekend for mount charleston as folks head up to see the snow! resort's directors say lee canyon has seen around 74 inches of snow this season. thats compared to the 71 inches of snow for the whole season last year. workers at the resort say ski and snowboard classes have already started to fill up. locals say the trip up the mountain is well

our friends, we have to be with fans, we have to be with broncos. and it was wonderful." and there were some happy broncos fans at the end of the night! the broncos beat the steelers -- 23 to 16. and even though the kansas city chiefs may not be in the playoffs... many fans are still pumped up. take a look at this. this is "molly balloons". she made this dress entirely out of balloons in the team's colors. the dress has gone viral on social media. it took more than seven-hundred balloons and fifteen hours to put it together. molly says while the dress only lasts a couple of days -- she's excited to create fun fashion for women. one of the nation's largest dodgeball tournaments took place here in the valley. folks from hollywood came out to , duck, dip, dive and dodge.

dodgeball league -- short for 'west hollywood' dodgeball league -- spent the weekend in las vegas. 72 teams and 450 dodgeballers competed in the tournament'. "vegas is where you have to hold every tournament, because it's a destination place. you wanna party. there are other dodgeball tournaments out here that are little more serious. this tournament's about just having fun, being ridiculous. we have people in costumes in there. there are teams here who are just here to drink and play and have a great time." the dodgeball tournament was part of the broader 'sin city shootout sports festival.' mans best friend no more. we'll introduce you to this adorable pup's
