a completely unrelated situation happened near tropicana and jones. a person was rushed to umc in serious condition after a possible hit and run.

pulling out from a stop sign at washington and north smith street when the motorcyclist was approaching the intersection. the two crashed into each other. the 19 year old motorcyclist was taken to umc where he died. the other driver stayed on scene. they are still looking to see if speed was a factor in this crash. and about a half hour after that, a pedestrian was hit and killed near eastern and tropicana.. police say a driver of a pickup truck hit the victim. the person died at sunrise hospital. police have not said if they were in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. working to win over minority voters.. hillary clinton and senator bernie sanders are here in the valley battling it out just ahead of the democratic caucus tomorrow. the 2 came face-

the pope is also in the spotlight for another reason other than "the donald." when asked about aborting fetuses infected with the zika virus, the pope says avoiding pregnancy is not an absolute evil for women threatened by it. the world health organization is advising the sexual partners of pregnant women to use condoms or abstain from sex if they live in or have visited zika- affected areas. the virus is responsible for babies being born with abnormally small heads. you're taking a live pic ofthe supreme court in washington, d.c. mourners are paying their respects to the late justice antonin scalia. his casket will lay in the supreme court today. after a private ceremony, scalia's casket will be on public view. officials say the 79-year old died of natural causes. his body was found in his room at a west texas ranch resort.

a 7 year old murder mystery gets new life... the father of a local teen is hoping a new incentive will help find his sons

today for a preliminary hearing... but a motion was filed requesting that the hearing be canceled, citing a federal indictment returned by grand jurors in nevada this week. the charges stem for an armed standoff on bundy's bunkerville ranch in 2014. we're hoping to learn more about an fbi raid that took place at three different locations... the raids come as a result of a corruption investigation connected to an audit of the hoover dam. here's a map of the places the f-b-i raided... the first one was an accounting firm on sunset and durango. next...a henderson home off coegand u-s 95... and the third raid went down at the department of interior's bureau of reclamation office in boulder city. the home belongs to rick zaffarese-leavitt. he's also linked to the other two offices. leavitt is the director of the bureau of reclamation. according to the review journal.. he was on a committee that oversaw a one million dollar audit of the hoover dam

to u-m-c... where the shooting victims were taken. 2 women were killed. another man is expected to be okay, but is in critical condition. fox5's nick lagrange has the latest. a fight at a las vegas strip parking garage early friday morning led to the shooting of three people, two of whom died, police said. according to lt. dan mcgrath, of las vegas metro police, a fight took place on the third floor of the third floor of the miracle mile shops parking garage about 1:20 minutes later, police received reports of a shooting on harmon avenue near aldebaran avenue, which is in the opposite side of the strip from the miracle mile shops garage. mcgrath said a vehicle drove into the cosmopolitan

woman inside who had both been shot. the man and woman were rushed to university medical center, where the woman died. the man was stabilized at the hospital. according to lt. mcgrath, there were also multiple reports of a woman lying in the middle of the street near harmon and aldebaran. the woman was rushed to umc, where she also died. police said they were able to confirm the vehicle was connected to the fight at the miracle mile shops garage through surveillance video. it was not known how the third wounded person was tied to the original scene. an investigation is ongoing. there was no one in custody following the incident. the intersection that includes the valet parking entrance at the cosmopolitan was shut down amid an investigation.

of the miracle mile shops parking garage about 1:20 p.m. about 10 minutes later, police received reports of a shooting on harmon avenue near aldebaran avenue, which is in the opposite side of the strip from the miracle mile shops garage. mcgrath said a vehicle drove into the cosmopolitan hotel-casino valet with a man and a woman inside who had both been shot. the man and woman were rushed to university medical center, where the woman died. the man was stabilized at the hospital. according to lt. mcgrath, there were also multiple reports of a woman lying in the middle of the street near harmon and

to umc, where she also died. police said they were able to confirm the vehicle was connected to the fight at the miracle mile shops garage through surveillance video. it was not known how the third wounded person was tied to the original scene. an investigation is ongoing. there was no one in custody following the incident. the intersection that includes the valet parking entrance at the cosmopolitan was shut down amid an investigation. rancher cliven bundy will be extradited back here to nevada where he is facing several federal charges. he is facing a 16 count indictment.

scheduled to appear in a portland court today for a preliminary hearing... but a motion was filed requesting that the hearing be canceled, citing a federal indictment returned by grand jurors in nevada this week. the charges stem for an armed standoff on bundy's in 2014. we're hoping to learn more about an fbi raid that took place at 3 different locations... the raids come as a result of a corruption investigation connected to an audit of the hoover dam. here's a map of the places the f-b-i raided... the first one was an accounting firm on sunset and durango. next...a henderson home off college and u-s 95... and the third raid went down at the department of interior's bureau of reclamation office in boulder city. the home belongs to rick zaffarese-leavitt. he's also linked to the other 2 offices. leavitt is the director of the bureau of reclamation. according to the review journal.. he was on a committee that oversaw a one million dollar audit of the

contract. ll bradford and company was in charge of that audit.. fbi agents raided that company's office yesterday. we're still trying to piece together what the f-b-i is looking for. when we called, they simply confirmed they were investigating, but wouldn't give us details. at least a half a dozen local law enforcement cars were in front of leavitt's home yesterday. we also talked to the bureau of reclamation, and ll bradford. they would not comment on the raids. the turkish prime minister says the person behind a massive explosion on wednesday is a syrian national who has links to the kurdish rebel forces. nearly 30 people were killed and 61 injured after a car stacked with explosives blew up. turkey retaliated against the terror group by carrying out air strikes across the border in northern iraq. officials are calling the crime barbaric and say that turkey will not hesistate "self-defense anytime, anywhere, and in all situations."

this morning to transfer 'affluenza' teen ethan couch to adult court. couch was convicted in 20-13 for killing four people in a d-u-i crash in texas. because he was 16 at the time, a judge sentenced him in juvenile court to 10 years' probation. the new ruling means the now 18- year-old could face 120 days in jail, then finish his 10-year probation. and if he violates his probation during that time, he could get up to 10 years in prison for each crash victim. police say couch and his mother fled to mexico after a video surfaced that reportedly showed couch at a party where alcohol was being served. drinking alcohol was a violation of his probation. the f-b-i searched the home of the brother of one of the san bernardino shooters. officials were seen at the home of "syed raheel farook" in corona, california. an f-b-i spokesperson says agents executed a search warrant, but did not elaborate on what they were looking for. no one was
