experiencing a computer glitch affecting its systems nationwide. flights are grounded or delayed across the country. fox 5's mike doria is live at mccarran international airport with a look at our flights in and out. flights currently in the air are not affeected, but since there are problems at many major airports including atlanta, washington dulles and chicago -- any flights that have yet to take off are grounded. delta airlines has released a delta airlines has released a statement saying that a widespread computer outage has impaed flights scheduled for this morning and so far -- that's it. the company is advising travelers to check their flight status as the issue is being addressed

overnight... the all-clear is given at a valley apartment complex after a gas leak forces people from their homes. it happened around midnight at the sherman garden apartments on j street. las vegas fi may have hit a gas meter, triggering the leak. folks living in the community were evacuated for a brief time. they have since been allowed to return home. the exact cause of the leak remains under investigation. an elderly woman is found dead inside her east valley home. police have now named the woman's estranged husband as a person of interest in her homicide. police arrived at the home on colgate lane near washington and sloan around 5:30 sunday night. they say the woman's roommate found her body and called police.

"knowing that she was really kind, sweet-hearted seemed like she a big heartm very charming. elderly woman, didnt come outside, didn't bothered anybody." the woman suffered severe head injuries. so police are trying to determine if domestic violence played a role in her death. the coroner is working to determine the cause of death and will release her identity at the appropriate time. metro is also suspicious death near mccarran airport. police say a man's body was found inside a home on sunnyslope avenue near hacienda and spencer around five oclock sunday night. a neighbor tells us a couple and two children live in the home. he believes it may have been the father. it's not being called a homicide at the moment but police are investigating. bill clinton will be campaigning for his wife

vegas later this week. the former president is expected to address thousands of asian-american and pacific islander voters at a forum at the colosseum at caesars palace on friday. libertarian presidential candidate gary johnson will also speak at the forum. no word yet if donald trump will be there. organizers are still working out details with trump's campaign. hillary clinton will be in detroit later this week to deliver what's expected to be a major economic speech. donald trump will be there today... discussing his own plans to improve the economy. is remains on top of the polls. fox's kelly wright has more from new york.

this morning. folks living along florida's gulf coast are bracing for heavy rains and flooding in the days ahead. a severe storm system is expected to hit the big bend and panhandle areas this week. some areas could see up to 18-inches of rain. in mexico... at least 39 people were killed in mudslides triggered by hurricane earl's relentless rains and flooding. hurricane earl first battered belize before slamming into mexico. the intense rainfall caused hillsides to collapse onto homes. this morning... authorities are keeping an eye on the newly-formed tropical storm javier, which is moving over the pacific toward cabo san lucas. a fast-growing wildfire in southern california is forcing people from their homes this morning. the so-called "pilot" fire is chewing through land in the san bernardino national forest right now. the fire started

near silverwood lake, a recreation area near crestline. the fire has charred 15- hundred acres so far and is zero percent contained. firefighters are making progress on two wildfires burning in northern california. the so-called "soberanes" wildfire burning near big sur is now 45-percent contained. the deadly blaze has destroyed 57 homes and 11 structures so far. it was sparked by an illegal campfire. fire crews don't expect to have this one fully- contained until the end of the month. another wildfire burning east of san francisco, is now 50 percent contained. good news to report out of northern nevada. the virginia mountain complex fires are fully contained. the five lightning-sparked fires started burning july 28th. no structures were destroyed. a new brush fire is burning about 10 miles northwest of reno right now. this one is threating dozens of homes in the cold springs area. it is now 20- percent contained.

others are seriously hurt after a rollover crash on the eye- 15. n-h-p troopers says some of the victims weren't wearing seatbelts. "we see it all the time on our roadways where lives are saved by a seatbelt. and then sometimes we see minor accidents where someone's not wearing their seatbelt and they're seriously injured or killed. so we just need everyone to take those two seconds and put that seatbelt on because it could save your life. n-h-p says four people were thrown from an s-u-v near mile marker 76 sunday afternoon. they say the driver over- corrected the vehicle and it rolled over, catching fire. three people died at the scene... two others were taken to u-m-c. the southbound lanes were closed for hours during

california takes a deadly turn... taking the lives of two jumpers...one only 18 years old. the jump happened on saturday... one of the victims was an instructor. the other, an 18- year old, jumping for the first time. his family says all they could do is watch as the teen fell to his death... officials say the parachute did not appear to deploy until after impact. the owner of the parachute center didn't do anything wrong.. and accidents will happen. now to an update on a story we brought you last week. the pilot of a hot air balloon that crashed and killed all 16 passengers on board... did not see the power lines in front of him. a source close to the investigation says... the balloon was floating in the clouds.. with zero to little visibility...unable to even see the power lines. which it eventually struck, before exploding. the incident

breaking news at mccarran airport. delta airlines is experiencing a computer glitch affecting its systems nationwide. fox 5's mike doria is live at mccarran international airport with the latest. flights currently in the air are not affeected, but since there are problems at many major airports including atlanta, dulles and chicago -- any flights that have yet to take off are grounded. delta airlines has released a statement saying that a widespread computer outage has impacted flights scheduled for this morning and so far -- that's it. the company is advising travelers to check their flight status as the issue is being addressed passengers hoping for an
