news, police find a man's body inside a car... in a north valley parking lot officials say-- its connected to a missing persons case. police say the man had been missing for several days. when a family member finally spotted the car parked in front of a thrift shop near craig and allen.. and witnesses say it had a strong odor. "it was honestly just a big crack it was loud" a henderson woman says her home was vandalized because she has a thin blue line american flag. this flag is used to show support for law enforcement. the woman who asked that we only identify her as ashley... says she's now terrified. she says she was getting ready to go the gym on wednesday. when she saw a woman walking up her driveway. the woman then rang the door bell six times. the next thing she knew she heard a loud crack. when ashley went outside her american flag and its post had been torn down... and she saw the woman running

project, we're spending a lot of money, we need to know if we have the support. legislators need to decide how much public funding will go into the project. i certainly don't want the window to start shutting and us still looking in the window here so let's take a look at the game plan: cost of construction, land, the practice facility and contingency funds total one point 895 billion. who's paying? this is private funding- 500 million from the raiders, 650 million from shelden adelson, then 750 million in public funding. that totals one point nine billion. but this 750 million in public funding is still up in the air. 2150 we're committed to our position. it hasn't changed from day one. 2152 we've always said that number, we remain consistent and committed. this is a game changing project for this city and this state, so we're hoping it gets done robert goldstein, dir., president and chief operating officer at las vegas sands corp. the adelson owned sands corporation president says the state must contribute that 750 million or adelson walks. he's never changed his mind, he's happy to change his mind and say i tried my

the country. has the c-d-c issuing an urgent call to action to fight opioid addiction. dianne gallagher has this report. the sound of sirens. a soundtrack to a crisis in middle america as the heroin epidemic appears to be getting more dangerous. (richard henson, cincinnati resident) i am very disturbed about it. it really saddens my heart. 28 overdoses in a west virginia county, in one night last week. tuesday, 12 people overdosed in an indiana community. and in the cincinnati ohio area, 36 on wednesday alone and 90 overdoses since this weekend, leading to a total of 5 deaths in those areas. (mos) it's everywhere, i mean i pretty much knew. it looked like he overdosed on drugs. authorities believe these particular overdose spikes are due to what they call "bad batches", heroin laced with other substances. in the cincinnati cases, they suspect carfentanil, an

tranquilizer. authorities are struggling to keep up. (chad ward, cabell county west virginia ems) when you have that many overdoses, like yesterday in that short period of time, it taxes your resources. last week, the obama administration announced $17 million in funding aimed at prevention and at stopping the supply of opiates. the d.e.a. busted a semi-truck in new york this week with more than $2 million worth of heroin stuffed in its axles. the c.d.c. today calling for urgent public action, releasing a report showing a sharp increase in opioid- related overdose deaths, an increase in counterfeit prescription pills, and specifically in ohio and florida, heroin laced with the strong opioid fentanyl, which is what investigators believe killed the singer, prince earlier this year.
