being investigated by osha.. and fox5 found out.. the contruction company -- performance builders incorporated -- has been investigated at least 9 times in the past. in 3 of those cases they were found to be responsible for "serious violations. in more local news.. the 21-st annual premier u-n-l-v is scheduled for this evening. the event is set to kick off at 5 p-m and go until 9.. at the u-n-l-v intramural field. it's one of the largest and longest-running traditions at the college.. featuring food, fireworks and the giant letters of the school formed by students with flashlights.. organizers are actually attempting to break a world record for the most l-e-d lights lit simultaneously. metro is teaming up with u-n-l-v to give underpriviledged kids a seat at the rebel football season opener. head coach -- tony sanchez -- and the athletics department donated 100 tickets.. and officers will

"i thought everything was lost, and i was like what am i going to say to his sister when i et home and his brother is not there " the 6-year-old started first grade at steele elementary on monday. he was supposed to be picked up by daycare.. but ended up on a random bus. his mom says she rushed to the school from work.. after the daycare called to let her know her son was not at pickup.. and a missing persons report had been filed with the police. about 2 hours later.. the boy was found sleeping in the back of one of the buses. c-c-s-d says the driver followed protocol by searching the bus row-by-row after the last stop.. and the boy was never left alone.

as an epidemic. unlike common street drugs, opioid pills appeal to a wide range of ages from preteens all the way to senior citizens. a here are some eye-opening numbers provided by national institute of drug abuse. in 2012 over 2 million americans abused opioid pain relievers, causing more accidental overdoses than heroin and cocaine combined. pain relievers are the most common drug found on children between the ages of 11 and 13. and in 2013 just in the united states there was 207 million prescriptions written for hydrocodone & oxycodone. to put that into perspective the united states represents almost 100% of all hydrocodone prescriptions and 81% of oxycodone

fox5's alyssa deitsch joins us live in studio with one major third- party having trouble just getting on the nevada ballot...alyssa? you may not be able to vote for who you really want for president. and what's going on with the green party right now is a perfect example as to why.... the party is not automatically listed on the ballot here... because historically, they just don't have the number of registered voters.. so that means-- as of now... you will not see jill stein as an op novemeber. to get her on there, volunteers collected over 86-hundred signatures this year to petition to put the green party on the ballot... but nearly four- thousand of them were thrown out by the clark county registrar... making them about 600 signatures shy to get on the ballot. they asked for those signatures to be double checked-- but that was denied... so now they're taking the issue to federal court. we spoke with the nevada green party co-chair, who says... if the court does not rule in their
