still traumatized by what happened. he wasnt able to say much to us but his injuries speak volumes... :33 anthony orozco: i cant move my neck.. i cant move my body parts a fractured spine and a severed urethra are just a few of the injuries high school junior anthony orozco is suffering through :51 i dont feel too good. sometimes i wake up because its just too much pain and discomfort. i cant do too much. his parents told fox 5 he was hit by a car then dragged 20 feet down the street. it happened about 10 feet from his dad's home near deer springs and durango. jesus orozco, dad: he was walking to his car, he was about 3 feet away from it he was taking out his keys and he felt a bump on his back (butt to) he went underneath the tires and then next thing you know the first set ran over him - the

orozco says the driver stopped at the scene but he's still furious... jesus orozco, dad: she said she was looking down..she looked down for a second. she's off the hook. they havent done anything. said it was an accident. so thats what theyre saying it is. fox 5 reached out to police for the accident report but they werent available. the family plans to pursue legal action ... but right now they're focused on anthony im just trying to hold on so that way he keeps going. anthony had an emergency surgery earlier this week and has more to come. as you can imagine the family has a lot of medical expenses coming their way..if you'd like to donate to their go fund me...go to our website fox5 vegas dot com. coming up at 10:30 hear from anthony's friends and family. so far the family has raised more

dollars in one day. police are still looking for a murder suspect who walked out of their police station on friday. alonso perez was arrested in connection with the shooting death of 31 year old son muhamad robinson. officers say he broke off his handcuffs and took off from the north las vegas detective bureau. anyone who knows anything about where perez might be... please call police right away. and of course you can remain anonymous by crimestoppers. that number is 702-385-55-55. your lungs might feel a little bit heavier after breathing the air outside today... all because of a few smoky wildfires burning in california. now the valley is under an air quality advisory as crews work to put out those fires. this is a look around the valley this morning from our strat cam. you can see thick smoke filling the air from the "ken fire," which was burning along i-15 near the kenwood exit.

a professional poker player with millions of dollars in winnings -- is wanted for passing off bad checks. police say ted forrest had 215- thousand dollars worth of checks bounce -- at the wynn las vegas -- some time between october 20-12 and may 20-13. the wynn's attorney says the casino filed a civil dispute against forrest... but decided to turn it into a criminal one. the six-time world series of poker champion is estimated to have more than six million dollars in tournament earnings. protestors gathered in front of the bellagio fountains in support of stopping the construction of the dakota

"the las vegas tribe" teamed up with "the bee people" to get the word out. the group is afraid the pipeline will harm native american land... and the water supply in the missouri river. the bee people are a group of former bernie sanders supporters who's goal is to continue his revolution. protests have been going on for months. "we're worried that the pipeline would break and pollute the water and their land would be useless forever." "over a hundred different native american tribes together, united against this thing happening. so this is the first time in the history of the united states where we've had this many native american tribes coming together to support each other." "the las vegas tribe" and "the bee people" plan to hold another protest later this week. nevada voters will decide whether oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, and other medical equipment should be cleared of state sales tax. it's question four on the november ballot. those who support the measure say people should be compassionate, especially when we're talking

11-year-old jacob wetterling disappeared on a dark road in central minnesota on october 22nd, 19-89. and yesterday... the coroners office confirmed his remains were found. as nina moini (nina mo-ee-nee) reports -- some say it wasn't the outcome they hoped for... but they're hoping it will bring a sense of closure. (darlene bechold/ mother) "of course from that moment on life changed because you were afraid to let your kids go for a bike ride alone, you were afraid to let your kids go out of your sight." as the years passed by in st. joseph, he was never far from peoples' hearts. feel their prayers have been answered. jacob is found. (darlene bechtold/ mother) "we've been here for them, with them, for all this time hoping and praying. and thank god finally." since her son's kidnapping, patty wetterling has helped to create a sex offender registry for minnesota. a police crackdown in chicago took more than 65 thousand dollars of illegal drugs off the streets... and put 77 people behind bars. all of the raids took place on the city's west side during a 48 hour period that started thursday. chicago's police department says ofrs were also able to recover 11 guns as a part of the takedown. the crackdown was all part of an effort to keep the city safe over labor day weekend. escalante says: "57 of them are already convicted felons. 57 of these 77 have felony convictions. 17 have prior weapons related arrests. we think we targeted the right people with this operation and again, hopefully we'll have an impact on the violence." the police went on to say that 45

teresa joined the ranks of other catholic saints today. the process normally takes decades or even centuries... but not for mother teresa. kim hutcherson has more on the ceremony and the controversy leading up to it. (nats of pizza party) in honor of the new saint's life long mission.... organizers bussed in 15 hundred homeless people. they were given seats of honor at the mass and served pizza after the ceremony. mother teresa died just 19 years ago. some say the church expedited her sainthood because of her fame and reputation. critics of the nobel peace prize winner say her charity isn't financially accountable and lacks medically trained personnel. others have questioned the two vatican-approved miracles needed to fulfill the church's requirements for canonization... incl alleged healing of an indian woman's tumor. (monica besra, cured by mother teresa): "i saw a spark of light emerge from mother's photo and reflect on my tumour." (dr chatterjee, mother teresa critic) "even in india hardly anyone believes the miracles to be genuine, the doctors made statements to the effect there was no miracle." still by declaring her a saint...the vatican has ensured mother teresa will be remembered for generations to come. i'm kim hutcherson reporting. this month marks 15 years since the historic 9/11 attacks.

already had one emergency surgery with more on the way. after a bad crash. he was hit by a car 10 feet outside of his home near durango and dear springs. now he's dealing with a long list of injuries including a fractured spine and a severed urethra we talked with anthony orzocos friends and family they tell us this experience has been tough for them but he's recovering and in high spirits. "samantha jepson, friend: he was in pain, a lot of pain and it was very sad. and he was still himself. very positive. he was still joking around even though he was in a lot of pain." anthony's dad told us the driver stopped at the scene but he's still furious...because little action was taken against the driver. we reached out to police for the accident report but they werent available.

also out of g-20.... a u-s spy agency is apologizing for a tweet that took a jab at china. the tweet from the "defense intelligence agency's" account said - quote - "classy as always china." it was referring to a confrontation involving the way the chinese treated reporters covering the event after president obama landed. the d-i-a says someone meant to send the tweet from a personal account, but accidentially used the agency's. the worst of hurricane hermine has left florida... but the sunshine state is still dealing with serious flooding... and mandatory evacuations. the government says crews need to keep working hard... until everybody is safe. scott says:
