the forecast for las vegas tuesday. a low over the central valley of california moving through nevada will produce the winds and cooler temperatures. wind advisory goes into effect at 11am. we also have a red flag warning that goes into effect at 11am. heavier clouds are forecast during the day. tuesday's forecast high of 87 is 9 below monday's high. as the low moves away cooler temperatures will wednesday. temperatures will then start to move back up thursday. the uv index for tuesday is 7 which is high.

will return to class this morning. the campus has been cleared of all mercury as well as eight homes in the surrounding area. fox5's peter dawson is live outside the school with the latest developments the five-day mercury clean up process is over and students will here at walter johnson junior high school after the entire school has been thoroughly cleaned and checked. ccsd and the epa made statements yesterday that they feel confident they have identified all all contaminated areas on campus. air filters have been replaced, carpet, tiles and a 25x30 section of the gym floor has been removed. the epa also said they have checked eighty homes and only one home was found to have

mercury vapor levels. the family was removed from the house as the epa cleaned and removed all toxins. ccsd wants to reassure all parents that walter johnson is once again safe. "i think the message to parents that we got tpo get student back into the routine of education. the campus is safe, it has been checked and checked again." "based on the fact that we've been to eighty homes and have only found one, leads us to believe with some confidence that this is not as wide spread as we initially feared." the big question still remains, how did mercury get on campus. ccsd and the epa say the source is still unknown and is under investigation and is now a matter for clark county school police department. we're expecting students to start arriving for school in a couple hours. three school days will have to be reschedule, ccsd tells us the make up classes will happen on election day and possibly the days leading up to thanksgiving. they

open for perez's girlfriend. his next court date is set for september 28-th. the man arrested at a donald trump rally here in las vegas is headed to court today. michael sandford allegedly attempted to grab an officer's gun with the intent to kill the candidate. he previously pled not guilty to all charges. the 19-year-old is now expected to plead guilty to felony possession of a gun. and disrupting government business. the u-k native will likely be deported after serving his sentence. bill clinton is set to campaign in nevada later this week. filling in for hillary. after she fell ill with pneumonia. the former president will visit the c-s-n cheyenne campus tomorrow at 10 a-m. bill clinton also filling in for hillary at two events in california today. junior high school will return to class this morning. the caus been cleared of all mercury as well as eight homes in the surrounding area. fox5's peter dawson is live outside the school with the latest developments the five-day mercury clean up process is over and students will return to class here at walter johnson junior high school after the entire school has been thoroughly cleaned and checked. ccsd and the epa made statements yesterday that

have identified all all contaminated areas on campus. air filters have been replaced, carpet, tiles and a 25x30 section of the gym floor has been removed. the epa also said they have checked eighty homes and only one home was found to have dangerous mercury vapor levels. the family was removed from the house as the epa cleaned and removed all toxins. ccsd wants to reassure all walter johnson is once again safe. "i think the message to parents that we got tpo get student back into the routine of education. the campus is safe, it has been checked and checked again."
