class again this morning... after a 6 day mercury scare... school was back in session yesterday... kids say... its almost back to normal. sot : "it's just like it never happened" for fiona vogl.. everything seemed the same.. except she is missing her backpack.. lunchbox... and her purse. the e-p-a determined there was too much mercury on fiona's belongings.. so she won't get them back. now fiona's mom is concerned..

daughter's health. will return to the campaign trail tomorrow. when she is expected to appear at the congressional hispanic caucus institute dinner. in national news this morning.. an arizona man faces attempted murder charges.. after allegedly trying to run down police officers in phoenix. the suspect hit two police officers... a 3rd was able to jump out of the way.. that officer then immediately took down and arrested the suspect. the two injured officers are still recovering.. but are expected to be okay. police say they have had no prior contact with the suspect. a school bus drive is being hailed a hero. after putting her own life at risk.. to save nearly two dozen students. after the bus burst into flames driver renita smith ran into the burning bus.. pulling out the students. parents say she remained calm.. not only getting the kids off one- by-one.. but heading back to double check.. making sure no one was left

unlv football has been terrible for a long time... even worse... the program has been irrelevant... but those days are over. excitement has never been higher with rebel football... and this is further proof... the fertitta family is writing a 10-million dollar check to the program... the money will help build a state of the art football training facility. the fertitta football complex will be 73- thousand square feet.. and include an academic center.. weight room.. and a player's lounge. this local breakfast club is a group of u-s veterans. they meet every four months at i- hop to catch up.. share stories.. and plan community service projects. these ladies have played key roles in world war two.. the korean war.. the vietnam war.. and the gulf war.. serving our country.. even when women had few rights. "any place where you would find veterans, they'd say 'oh, was your husband in the service?' they never thought i had been a veteran." "i'm so proud of the young women that are in right now. they are whipper snappers! they are something else!" "yes." joshua cyran is charged with d-u- i... auto theft... and running from a scene back in april. cyran stole a truck.. then hit his girlfriend after she jumped out of the vehicle. he is sentenced to six to fifteen years in prison. jurors listened to the opening statements.. in the oregon refuge standoff trial. the bundy brothers.. are set to face charges in the takeover.. while five others are charged with conspiring to impede on federal employees through threats.. imitation.. and force. ryan bundy said that the group went to oregon to protest ranchers.. not to break the law. the british man who tried to shoot donald trump during a las vegas rally plead guilty.. shortening his sentence from 20 years.. to just 2 years in prison. michael sanford will also be deported.. following his sentence. court documents say sanford acknowledged reaching for a gun while trump was on stage in june. after his arrest-- sandford told police he drove from california to kill the republican nominee. as if this election

on the lookout for a thief. i guess stealing stuff makes you hungry. this crook has hit the same house 3 days in a row... he took a flat screen t-v.. a ladder.. even a kitchen sink. and all that made him hungry. he stopped by the fridge.. making himself a snack. cops are called to the house each time.. but this guy doesn't seem to care. he keeps coming back in broad daylight.. while the homeowner is at work. there are some

great recession.. there's a good chance you... or someone you know lost their home. to help the valley.. the u-s treasury granted federal funding as part of a relief program.. but new auditing data shows the money didn't get to the people who need it most. instead.. for every dollar the nevada affordable housing assistance corporation gave to a homeowner in need... it kept a dollar. the company has racked up 8.2 million dollars... spending it on car allowances... lavish parties and gifts for employees. inspector general's office is recommending the company stop getting federal dollars.... and that they stop working on this program altogether. now an update to a fox5-investigation. a restaurant at the silver nugget casino is back open. after bugs were found in and around the booths. the home town kitchen was closed.. after a customer complained about bug bites on her legs. health district inspectors found 3 to 4 live insects and at least one
