fox 5's mike doria joins us from the eye-15 and craig to talk about both. we'll start with the construction. once it starts -- it won't stop until early 2018. n-dot is widening the highway from four to six lanes in both directions between craig road and the speedway. traffic within this corridor is expected to increase 71% by 2033. but by that time -- you may no longer be in the driver's seat. the president of lyft is predicting car ownership will be a thing of the past by the year 2025. and john zimmer adds that most of lyft's fleet will be autonomous or driverless in five

teenagers are learning how to drive.. hundreds of teenagers are learning how to drive.. but they're learing from professionals instead of their parents. none of us are really taught how to drive, we're taught how to pass a test. the whole idea is going to give young drivers a wake up call and show them what can happen in emergency situations so their better prepared out there in the real world. nearly 700 teens took part in the "driver's edge" program over the

las vegas motor speedway. the young drivers learned how to be defensive behind the wheel.. they went over panic braking...skid control.. and changing lanes. harley-davidson is proving that motorcycles aren't just for boys. this weekend... the bike shop hosted a class... just for the ladies. "i think it's nice that i did it with my friends, that i'm not worried about what i look like or if i'm messing up and we're all kind of cheering each other on and i think if more women do it that way then it wouldn't really be scary." during the motorcycle safety class... the ladies brushed up on road safety rules while riding through different courses. there are at least 2 classes scheduled each month. if you take the class... you can bypass some of the steps needed to get a motorcycle license. taking the class will also lower your insurance rate. who's opinion really matters when it comes to what's on tv?

overdoses.. so...he has declared this week "prescription opioid and heroin epidemics awareness week." through the 24- th.. the president is calling on all americans to hold events that raise awareness about the dangers of those drugs. obama says the number of deadly overdoses from opiods has almost quadrupled in the past 17-years. he says opioid use disorder is a disease.. but the victims are often stigmatized...which prevents them from getting help. of course...the most recent victim of this growing epidemic was legendary singer- songwriter...princ e. state lawmakers are getting a huge chunk of campaign cash...from donors tied to the prescription painkiller business. a public integrity investigation revealed that makers of prescription drugs like oxycontin have spent more than 880-million dollars on campaign contributions in the past decade. nevada ranks first in the nation for the amount of money coming from the
