"i think donald just criticized me for preparing for this debate, and yes i did. and you know what else i've prepared for? i prepared to be president and i think that's a good thing." hillary clinton and donald trump went toe to toe during the first presidential debate. clinton tried to hammer home the idea that trump isn't prepared to be commander-in- chief. while trump tried to paint clinton as a politician who wouldn't bring about the change the country needs. it was a presidential debate like none we'd ever seen before. karin caifa joins us from the debate site in new york where the candidates discusses the economy and other hot-button issues.

opened fire in a houston shopping center monday morning was a "disgruntled lawyer." police are now searching his home. investigators say nathan desai was frustrated over the failure and recent closure of his law firm. desai's property manager at his condominium says he had recently become upset over maintenance issues. in august, police were called to the complex after workers said desai pointed an assault-style rifle at them. police shot and killed desai, after they say he started firing at officers. nine people were hurt. the suspect in a mall shooting in washington state is being held on 2- million dollars bail. on monday, arcan cetin was charged with five county of first-degree murder. the 20-year-old's stepfather told reporters that his son has mental health issues. but he didn't provide specifics. cetin is accused of opening fire in a department store's cosmetics department friday, killing five people. authorities are still trying to figure out a motive. violent crime is up

"g-2-e" officially gets underway today. and one group is hoping to get women inspired to lead the gaming industry. the group global gaming women is hosting a seminar just for leading
center. they're hoping to prepare women for senior level exective jobs in the gaming industry. the session's speaker says... in an industry made up of mostly men it's important for women to get together and share tips and skills with one another. "i would say that it's traditionally been, male driven. and those companies that seem to be seeing greater success are recognizing the value of women. and diversity, in their executive teams, in their leadership teams. in their management teams." the group offers coaching and mentorship so that women are prepared for leading roles in the gaming industry. a local team of drone racers need your help finding a new place to practice. they're looking for a parking garage to practice tricks like this.
