recovering this morning after being stabbed in the head. according to police.. it happened yesterday morning. they received a call about a fight. near main street and owens. officers found the man with a stab wound to the head. he was later taken to u-m-c. there is no word on his current condition. a female suspect has been taken into custody for attempted murder with a deadly weapon. a rafter has been found safe.. after being reported missing in the moapa river. the 20-year-old was rafting with family.. when the mother says she disappeared. the family called police.. who found the woman just a few hours later. she was cut by barbed wire.. and struggled through thick mud and rough currents. but.. she was okay. in national news this morning. investigators will

information on the hoboken train crash.. after the data recorder recovered from the crash site failed to work. yesterday our recorders experts worked with the experts from the manufacturers to access data from the recovered locomotive event recorder butt to unfortunately the event recorder was not functioning during this trip officials are still trying to recover a second image recorder from the wreckage. which would give investigators a better idea about what lead to the crash. that left 1 woman dead and more than a hundred injured. just days after the townville elementary school shooting.. a 6-year-old boy has died. hall says: "what happened to jacob, jacob forgives already. he's in heaven smiling down at us jacob hall was playing on the school playground when he was fatally shot. now his mother says she will have a superhero funeral.. for her super- hero son. renae hall says she doesn't want the other children to be

in a week, we could know if las vegas will have a new football stadium. a special legislative session date has yet to be announced but support and opposition groups are actively getting their messages out. fox5's peter dawson is live outside the thomas & mack with the latest the special legislative session is expected to happen sometime between october 8th and 13th. the southern nevada tourism infrastructure committee an governor sandoval are in support of the proposal that would use $750 million dollars of taxpayer funds. but there are two groups in opposition of the stadium deal. the nevada taxpayers association survey their own members and found 57% percent of the board is in opposition citing 16 concerns. the one concerned shared by many is there isn't a "back-up" source of revenue if the room tax under performs in the future or if vegas is hit hard by another recession. the "back-up" plan would put a heavy burden on taxpayers according

second group in opposition of the stadium deal. on their website they have seven "hidden risks" in the stadium plan. among their their concerns in the 33 bond would cost way more than $750 million with interest, stadiums are costly money pits and the the stadium bond would limit clark county's ability to invest in other projects. today at 11am here at the thomas and mack, gaming and community leaders: steve hill, jan jones, lawrence weekly and even former raider howie long will speak with the press to show unanimous support for quick approval of the deal from carson city. they're stressing urgency in approval for job creation, economy boost and a new stadium will continue to drive las vegas a world class entertainment destination. tens of thousands of riders all around the world came roaring into town this weekend... for the 16-th annual bikefest. christopher steen, las vegas: the bikes, all the people and all the vendors, its a good time.

an elderly man is recovering this morning after being stabbed in the head. according to police.. it happened yesterday morning. they received a call about a fight. near main street and owens. officers found the man with a stab wound to the head. he was later taken to u-m-c. there is no word on his current condition. a female suspect has been taken into custody for attempted murder with a deadly weapon. a rafter has been found safe.. after being reported missing in the moapa river. the 20-year-old was rafting with family.. when the mother says she disappeared. the family called police.. who found the woman just a few hours later. she was cut by barbed wire.. and struggled through thick mud and rough currents. but.. she was okay. in national news this morning. investigators will have to find a new source of information on the hoboken train crash.. after the data recorder recovered from the crash site failed to work. yesterday our
