protests continued overnight in los angeles.. after police shot and killed a black 18-year-old on saturday. authorities say carnell snell junior was armed.. running away after a car chase when officers shot him. (carnell snell jr's mother) " i just left him. he just left me. he just left my house. he just left my house and we got a phone call saying the police shot him five times in the back." a few dozen people shut down traffic at a south l-a intersection sunday night.. where a car driver did donuts in the street and some people sprayed graffiti on businesses. we have not heard of any arrests. the 6-year-old who was shot on a south carolina school playground last week...died over the weekend. authorities say a 14-year-old opened fire on jacob hall and his classmates... hitting 2 students and a teacher. now jacob's mother says she will have a superhero funeral...for her super-hero son. renae hall says

scared.. so she is inviting everyone to come to the service on wednesday dressed as their favorite heroes. and services have been scheduled the keith lamont scott.. who was shot and killed by charlotte police officers. the 43-year-old will be laid to rest on thursday. scott's death lead to 2 nights of violent protests. authorities say an officer shot scott.. after he refused to drop a weapon as he got out of a parked car.. but videos released so far do not prove whether scott was actually armed. in more local news.. c-c-s-d is celebrating a week of respect to help combat school bullying. you're looking at footage from last year's event.. when students started a flash mob. this year.. the theme is "blue".. students will dye superintendent pat skorowky's beard blue.. and on wednesday.. fremont street will be joining the action.. by turning the fremont street experience lights blue.

"project pink" has raised over 360- thousand dollars for susan-g-komen and the american cancer society. blackjack tables, poker tables and even pastries will be turning pink. the annual event is part of national breast cancer awareness month. speaking of station casinos.. the palms hotel and casino is now part of the station casinos family. the parent company -- red rock resorts -- bought out the palms for more than 312-million dollars back in may.. and the deal was made official over the weekend. the vice president of the palms says hotel guests will get better deals and specials in the casino's restaurants and buffets.. and the palms is transitioning to the stations boarding pass card. today -- folks are rallying in support of

support of bringing football to vegas.. and in just about one week...we could know more about a stadium here in our town. a special legislative session is expected sometime between october 8th and 13th... to decide on the stadium. the southern nevada tourism infrastructure committee and governor sandoval are in support of the proposal.. today at 11 a-m gaming and community leaders will be at the thomas and mack to speak with the press and to show unanimous support for quick approval of the deal. jamaica, haiti and parts of cuba are bracing for a catastrophic strike. when hurricane matthew is expected to hit. some bike enthusiasts get together for a festival just for them. how safety overshadowed the event.
