fox5's peter dawson is live near cashman middle school where a special parade will march through the neighborhood. clark county school district police and metro are holding events all throughout the valley to raise awareness for pedestrian safety as part of their annual national night out program. every area command center is holding their own events but here at cashman middle school officers, parents and brazly ward will be parading through this neighborhood to spread the message of pedestrian safety way soccer field for a fun match-up of officers verses the neighborhood. as the days get shorter and nights get longer pedestrian fatalities will increase. between 2013 and 2015 at least 10 pedestrian fatalities occurred each month during the fall and winter seasons. metro wants to change those statistics and want everyone to have happy and safe halloween. each area command center will have their own festivities and venders for local residence. bolden and south central area commands will have a special presentations as well as

pole. and the gunman is still on the run. according to police.. the man called 9- 1-1 yesterday morning.. saying he had been shot. he then crashed near anthem and bicentennial parkway while on the phone with dispatchers. he was taken to the hospital where he later died. police say they are still looking for a suspect. police are searching for an armed man they say attempted to rob a restaurant near lake mead and rampart last month. take a look at these surveillance photos of the suspect. accord police.. the suspect entered the business.. then held victims at gunpoint. thankfully no one was injured. the suspect is described as a hispanic man.. 5-foot-7. in his mid to late 20's. he was last seen in a gray and black baseball hat.. a black shirt with gray sweatpants. anyone with information on either of these crimes should call police or crimestoppers at 7-0-2-3-8-5-55-55. metro's abuse and neglect division are investigating the death of a 3-

family in idaho was just minutes away from their home catching on fire.. and are now thanking their pet pug.. who fire fighters say.. saved his owner's lives. or into your back yard so i can take pictures? first off -- if he's taking pictures... what's he going to take pictures of the ground?" neighbors say a man named gordon knocked on multiple doors. asking if he can take pictures of their back yard. one neighbor called police. saying the homes the man targeted were full of children. police came out to the neighborhood... but could not locate the man. up in north las vegas -- a creepy- looking clown is threatening to terrorize a high school this morning. it's part of a series of threats nationwide that are being made on facebook and other social media sites. fox5's mike doria is live at canyon springs high school this morning with how the district is responding. for now, the district is shrugging off the these threats and treating them as hoaxes. however, the district won't say how it came to that conclusion. but other districts nationwide are planting more security guards on school grounds or

costumes. this is how the latest threat appeared on facebook. curby slays happily is the name of the clown. in the threat, he says "y'all think this is a game, i'm really coming to canyon springs tomorrow. garbo the clown was second threat in the valley. the facebook post warned students at chaparal high school. it read "everyone that goes to chaparal high school in las vegas run!! we coming for y'all. school police checked it out but to worry. marcus barrerra who is a junior at the school "and the next thing you know, sure enough i was on facebook the next day and it was post, post, post. and i was like -- what? is this really happening? and i just think it's childish. like why are you going to waste your time on doing that?" in other parts of the country -- the threats are causing more fear. in maryland -- one school closed because of the threats. in arizona, 24 schools were on the clowns' threat list. and at one of those schools, almost

students didn't show up because of a threat on monday. in connecticut, one district is banning clown costumes and any "symbols of terror" during halloween season. no such ban from the clark county

the high roller is turning pink to show support for breast cancer awareness month.
