metro is investigating a fatal hit and run.. and the suspect is still on the loose. the crash occured just before 10 last night.. near owens and bruce. police say a red car hit the 37- year-old victim.. though the make and model are still unknown. no other injuries have been reported. a four-year-old girl is recovering in the hospital this morning.. after shooting herself in the throat. alice woolbright: that hurt my heart, im still dizzy, i couldnt believe what all i was seeing the police flying by i knew it was so it happened last night in this home near craig and pecos. according to police.. the gun was left unattended in a room where the little girl...and three other children were playing. the little girl's parents were home at the time. the family is visibly shaken... as were neighbors.. and many are concerned as to how a 4-year old got her hands on the gun in the first place.

stadium bill... which could help push the n-f-l to give the o-k for a team come to the valley. fox5's peter dawson is live at unlv with what still needs to be done to bring the raiders to las vegas. governor sandoval will sign two bills into law later this morning here at unlv getting las vegas one step closer to our second professional sports franchise. assembly bill 1 will authorize clark county commission to raise the county sales tax by one- tenth of a percent point to fund 300 additional police officers. but its senate bill 1 that would increase clark county's hotel room tax by 1.4 percent and that tax would raise the $750 million dollars in public funds needed to help build the stadium and lure the oakland raiders to las vegas. the raiders and las vegas sands corp together would throw in just over a billion dollars completing the $1.9 billion dollars needed for the whole project. commissioner

in national news this morning.. olympic runner tyson gay is mourning the los of his 15-year-old daughter.. after she was shot and killed in lexington, kentucky. according to police.. trinity gay was shot in the neck.. after two groups of men in cars started shooting at each other. gay was just standing by when the bullet struck her. tyson says he was very close to his daughter. .. and was shocked to hear about the shooting an african- american o-b-g-y-n says she was discriminated against on a delta flight.. after a flight attendant told her she couldn't help a passagener...beca use they were "looking for actual doctors". when the woman insisted...the flight attendant asked for the doctor's credentials. meanwhile...a white man approached the attendant.. saying he was also a doctor.. and the attendant let him help the man. delta says it is now investigating the accusations. the inside of a g-

crews say they've managed to keep the fire away from four hundred and eighty homes. the fire started early friday morning. stormy weather is holding up the search for a small-engine plane missing in the sierra nevada mountains... the plane was headed from idaho to sacramento last night saturday night... but never made it to it's destination. it's last known position was in the mountain range southwest of lake tahoe. that's the shaded region you see on the map here. police say ground and aircraft searches were called off sunday because of brutal weather conditions. crews plan to continue the search this morning. it's now a federal crime to bring a galaxy 7 on an airplane. samsungs galaxy note 7 phones were banned from being taken onto planes last week. now, flying with the device is also a crime. this ...after several reports of battery fires and explosions. the f-a-a says people who own the phone cannot have it on their person or in their baggage on any flight in the u-s. samsung issued a recall of the phones...

woman.. and injuring two others on the i-15 this weekend is expected in court tommorrow. according to police.. after saturday's shooting.. kenneth mcdonald got into a standoff with police.. at a c-v-s pharmacy near las vegas boulevard and windmill. 10 to 15 people were inside. mcdonald has been booked for murder.. attempted murder.. and numerous counts of shooting at an occupied vehicle. he is being held without bail. metro police held a public forum on animal prevention.. to saying one hundred percent of sexual homi offenders.. have a history of animal creulty. if we don't investigate these crimes and we just ignore them, these people, have the potential to grow up and become our future serial killers, so we've got to start when they're young. police are still looking for the person... accused of hanging a cat from a fence last month. we have blurred the images

washington state hadn't counted on, but got anyway. a gaping hole in their roof.. after a maple tree... crashes into their home during saturday's windstorm. later this morning here at u-n-l-v, getting las vegas one step closer to raider nation. the first bill, assembly bill 1 will authorize clark county commission to raise the county sales tax by one- tenth of a percent point to fund 300 additional police officers. but its the second bill, senate bill 1 that would increase clark county's hotel room tax by 1.4 percent. that tax would raise the $750 million dollars in public funds needed to help build the stadium and lure the oakland raiders to las vegas. the raiders and las vegas sands corp together would throw in just over a billion dollars completing the $1.9 billion dollars needed for the whole project. lawmakers debated for a week during a special legislative session and in end, job growth and tourism dollars was the selling
