some type of boxes or effect nevada has been a target of presidential candidates long before the election cycle ramped up. in the last 100 years - the winner of nevada has won but once - in 1976 when the state voted gerald ford and jimmy carter won the presidency. our demogrpahics are so representative of the united states that tracking polls give campaigns a good feel for where they stand elsewhere. that's why - since declaring candidacy hillary clinton has visited las vegas 10 times and donald trump five times. clinton officially announced her candidacy on april 12, 2015. less than a month
vegas for the first time on may 5th meeting with a group of students at rancho high school. trump declared on june 16th 2015.....clinton was in las vegas two days later....trump made his first visit as a candidate less than a month later on july 11th at freedom fest. clinton returned on august 18th....and trump came back on october 8th...just prior to the democrats debating here in town. when democrats arrived the next week, clinton spent three days in las vegas....rallying with the culinary union, holding an preserve and a day after the debate another rally. the republicans debated in december - that when protestors inside a trump rally the day before were escorted out as urged by the candidate. nat clinton came back just after the first of the year and did a sit down one on one interview with our chirstine madella. nat when the nevada democratic caucus was held february 20th, clinton campaigned the week before and returned for the caucus. two days later - trump was in town the day before the republican caucus, which he won convincingly. clinton came back three more times since then - in may, july and august and cancelled one appearance in september - sending her husband in her place. trump returned on june 18th when a man was arrested in an alleged assassination plot. he had a scheduled rally in late august that was cancelled but trump did visit las vegas to meet
hispanice leaders. don't be surprised to see clinton and trump at least once if not several more times in the final few weeks before election day. the more the polls, data and electoral math points towards a tight race - the more significant nevada is in determining a president.....making the battle born state a key battleground state. closed captioning
we're less than half an hour away from the final presidential debate here at the thomas and mack. and thousands of journalists are here from all over the country. fox5's eric hilt joins us now with a look at all the media frenzy. celebrities have celebrities have played a big roll on the campaign trail and now some are even here tonight! "more's" sean mcallister spoke with a few about why we should care so much about this election in particular.
mark says: "i mean this is like the super bowl of politics in a lot of sp you not want to be here. it's interesting, it's exciting in it's own way. i'm just as curious as everybody else to see what donald's going to do than what secretary clinton's going to do so why not come and check it out." that's right guys... wayne newton has been friends with seven presidents dating back to president nixon.
that time did newton fear for the future of country... but he says today, that's different. newton is a staunch trump supporter... and says our country is dangerouly close to falling off a cliff. sean says: what do you make of the political climate we're in right now? wayne says: it may be in my life the most frightening climate that we've ever been in. i keep hoping someone will pull the chain of reality and remind everybody that we are a country of immigrants yes... but we are a country of americans. and whomever becomes president of this country is president for all of us. wayne says: theres a cliff on the other side and we may never ever recover from it. so we have to let those things... those salacious things on both sides... go until another time and place. sean says: las vegas obviously will be getting a lot of publicity for the debate. what does that mean for las vegas and the future of las vegas? wayne says: i think without a doubt this is the greatest thing ever to happen to our city and our state. this debate and this
world... it only means terrific things for own town and its people while this debate will be good for las vegas in newton's eyes... the outcome of the election could be something completely different. in our conversation he wondered where civility has gone... why people can't seem to disagree politically, yet
joe heck's and donald trump's views on women are disturbing. heck voted to defund planned parenthood 10 times. he was even willing to shut down the government over it. and they both outlaw abortion. "do you believe in punishment for abortion?" "the answer is that, there has to be some form of punishment." while heck co-sponsored legislation to criminalize abortion, even in cases of rape. dscc is responsible for the content of this advertising. wolfson: i'm a prosecutor. locking up criminals is my
job. the attacks on question 1? misleading and flat out wrong.
't change that one bit. steiber: here's the only change. current law requires background checks at gun stores. question 1
applies the same rules to all gun sales - including at gun shows and online. that's all. and that fix makes it harder for criminals. safer for us. vo: background checks save lives.

i spent many years as a nuclear missile launch

nra member: do i believe good, law abiding citizens have a right to bear arms? you bet. and with that right comes responsibilities. do i believe convicted felons have that same right? no. but right now, criminals can easily get guns at gun shows or online from strangers with no
