and i'm ron steele. thanks for joining us. the entire world feeling the affects tonight of the horrific attacks on paris, france. at least 100 people killed -- reportedly at a different locations -- including a restaurant and a concert hall where a hostage situation was taking place. officials saying people being killed inside that concert hall. steve handelsman joins us now live

people were injured. one of the semis involved was hauling coal -- and caught fire. no word on the extent of the injuries at this time. new at ten -- a local fire department has a problem on their hands, one they say is getting worse in recent years-- hoarder homes. take a look at this-- this is just one example of what cedar falls firefighters have encountered when responding to emergencies they say excessive clutter makes is hard to do their jobs safely kwwls olivia mancino speaking to some of those firefighters today- she joins us live the cedar falls fire chief has been on the job more than 20 years-- he says recently his crews have responded to more fires at hoarding homes than ever before some of the pictures you're about to see of these homes are shocking. hundreds of thousands of homes lost to fires across the country each year... putting homeowners, and the firefighters brave enough to save them in danger. in cedar falls, the fire department is seeing a new trend in home fires, one that is making their job much more difficult.

"weve probably had six fires in the alst two years that have involved homes that have an usual amount of content in them" these photos were snapped at local hoarder homes piles of electronics, newspapers and other garbage make it nearly impossible for anyone to move around, let alone firefighters. "a few years ago where the fighfighter rescued the gentleman that lived there and it was very difficult because they had little paths to get through the house" "this summer we had to take someone out of a bedroom window for medical reasons, because of the amount of stuff that was in the house" add the heavy amount of equipment firefighters wear to protect themselves, and it presents a serious challenge when trying to get everyone out safely. administration has handled the recent incidents.
