"and i was like dude no. we have to call an ambulance. your friend just got hit by a car. his jeans were torn. he had like other witnesses say the man had what looked like severe injuries to his leg. but they say his friend was more worried about getting out of the alley - - then getting his friend medical attention. "either they thought they were too intoxicated to be in public once they were involved, the man with the more serious injuries became aggressive towards those around him. "he looked at me and was like, 'are you the one that hit me?' i was like, dude no, i am trying to help you. i did not hit you with a car."

went to the hospital and an other individual also went to the hospital from injuries related to the fight. we've got you covered ...jessica hartman kwwl news. have any information about the alleged crash -- please contact your local authorities. an iowa man is in the hospital in critical condition following a milk truck accident. the crash took place on highway 61 in grant county, wisconsin this morning. russell mcallister says he was driving his milk truck when jaun lourens lost control of his van -- and hit the truck head on. the milk truck spun out of control -- rolled to its top -- and then caught fire. mcallister says he was able to escape through the windshield. lourens was trapped in his van after it went into the ditch. rescuers had to use the jaws of life to free lourens -- who was then air lifted to a madison hospital. according to authorities --

has been charged. even though the one teenager was shot in the chest -- they are expected to survive. the new year begins with a shooting in downtown waterloo -- after a night of celebrating near club 3-1-9. several people were arrested for weapons -- one is in the hospital. kwwl's lauren moss has been looking into this all day- she joins us live with the latest..lauren. well mac..police say this all started when club 319 tried to get people to leave the bar come closing time around 2 a.m. no one would leave....and some people took the party to the alley.. someone in a group of people then shot 31 year old ramirez gary in his leg....causing everyone to take off running in every direction. it was a chaotic scene...take a "one is still in the truck 10-4. screaming. west parking lot. 301-3-331 pursuing subject at club 319 east 4th street." as people took off running- a waterloo officer shot at

is her great grandmother. the university of iowa's head football coach remains on top of the list of the state's best-paid employees. information provided by the state shows kirk ferentz made nearly four million dollars in the fiscal year. former iowa state head basketball coach fred hoiberg made more than two million bucks during the same period. in third place -- iowa state football coach paul rhoads comes in at one million -- 85- thousand dollars. the best-paid person on th list -- who isn'ta coach -- is kenneth kates. he's the c-e-o of the university of iowa hospitals and clinics. t-c-u head football coach gary patterson speaks briefly on the arrest and suspension of his starting quarterback trevone boykin. boykin was arrested early thursday and charged with felony assault of a police officer after fans at a bar were allegedly heckling the one-time heisman trophy contender. boykin and some friends were at pat

a forceful showing impresses fans at the rose parade. what event would be complete these days without star wars? storm troopers joined the disney float at the parade -- now in its 127th year. it's one of dozens of floats and bands -- making their way through pasadena, california. this year's grand marshal was documentary filmmaker ken burns and the university of iowa band made a grand appearance in the rose parade. with the hawkeye football team taking on stanford in the rose bowl game today -- the school's band performed throughout the nearly five mile route in pasadena -- during the 127th edition of the parade... the band also played the national anthem inside the rose bowl stadium before the game... a republican presidential candidate might be re-thinking a tweet her team sent today. carly fiorina sent a tweet earlier today saying, "love my alma mater, but rooting for a

quarterback, junior c.j. beathard. in week one the hawkeyes handled illinois state behind three rushing touchdowns and a first team defense that state in the cy-hawk game following the death of former hawkeye tyler sash. iowa responded with 21 answered points in the second half in a game that saw c.j. beathard game against pittsburg and an unbelievable 57 yard game winning field goal by marshall koehn. after destroying north texas the hawkeyes went into camp randall stadium defeating the 19th ranked badgers in a game totally dominated by the hawkeyes defense the following week the crowd at kinnick saw jordan canzeri rush for 256 yards on a school record 43 carries as the hawkeyes

going on the road to 20th ranked northwestern proved to be no problem for iowa as akrum wadley rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns of his own in an absolute domination of the wildcats 40- 10. iowa then handeld the maryland terripans 31-15 led by this 88 yard interception return for a touchdown by desmond king. upon traveling to bloomington c.j. beathard jumpstarted the hawkeye offense as the hawkeyes came out on top 35- 27 over the hoosiers. at home in a night blackout game iowa brought the floyd of rosedale back to the hawkeye state getting revenge against the gophers 40-35. on a snowy day in iowa city the hawkeyes had no problem gaining traction against the lowly boilermakers recording 6 offensive touchdowns and topping 40 points for the 4th times this season. iowa came into lincoln looking interceptions including this
