here's a live look at our good morning it's 6 a-m -- today is . good morning, i'm ally crutcher. and i'm jerry gallagher. storm track seven meteorologist eileen loan is here now with your storm tracseven forecast. temperatures range from the mid teens to the mid 20s this morning with the coldest readings where there are clear skies. wind chills are in the single digits and tns and winds are light from the northwest and will turn to the southeast during the day. we will have some clouds off and on throughout the

flurry or two, but for the most the southest and we will aim for the mid to upper 20s over most of the kwwl viewing area this afternoon. we have warmer temperatures, but an increased chance of rain and snow our top story this morning...crews will hihithe water again today to search for a missing person. yesterday a canoe capsized in johnson county. the sheriff's office tells us two people were in it. bystanders pulled one person out of the water -- that person was takeke to the hospital. first responders spent the night searching for the other person but had to stop when the water began freezing, making it dangerous for the crews. the search will continue today. in another weekend canoe accident -- four men went into the water in wisconsin when their canoe overturned. rescue crews found two bodies, but two other men are still nights, the whole lake will freezezever. that's hoho cold the dangerous to be on the water when it's really cold. so if you

combine any of those two, it leads to a tragic situation." the search for the other two men will pick up again this morning. investigators are trying to figure t if a deadly shooting in nashua was an accident...or intentional. it happened in the 100 block of saint lawrence street over the weekend. according to the iowa division of cririinal investigation, a 566 year-old man was shot in the head. the suspected shooter has been identified but no charges have been filed at this time. the motive is still unclear. policeeay a 16- year-old girl took a bullet over a hooerboard. it happened during an attempted robbery at anapartment compex in atlanta. pice say the teen was shot... after two people followed her and a friend home from a gas "i just want her to come out so i can take her away from this craziness, that's it." the girl kas taken to the

today president obama will meet with the attorney general to tackle gun violence. he's&expected to ask loretta lunch whattteps he can take to prevent gun violence. it's expected the president- who returned to the white house from hawaii yesterday- will use executive action to strengthen background checks for gun `urchases. the president's plan to reduce gun violence is a hot topic on the campaign trail right now... democratic presidential candidate hillary clinton talked about it in her first campaign event of the year yesterday. new hampshire, clinton's speech focused on why she thinks america needs a democrat in office. and i'm especially concerned because i know what a republican president would mean. i know that republican president would delight in the very first day reversing executive orders that president ama has made. today, the former cecretary of state heads to iowa. her husband is joining the campaign efforts starting today

senator marco rubio is one republicananandidatetevowing to repeal any executive orders president obama signs on gun control. speaking at a town hall in new hampshire, the floridaenator also had harsh words for his colleaguessin congress... president obama is turning his attention to reducing gun violence. as edwwd lawrence reports, the president s expected to use executive action to bypass congress. president obama fresh off his hawaiian vacation and taking aim at gun control. he ets with attorney general loretta ynch to talk about ways to increase background checks for people who buy guns. the president during his weekly radio address defended his position. there have been at least ten confirmed flood- related deaths in illinois. illinois' governor touring several of the cmmunities hit hard by flooding. he says the thousands of volunteers who have sandbagged helped protect many homes and businesses. but he's urging people to take the high water seriously.
