presidential candidates are campaigning from town to town. the latest numbers - released last night - show reublicans more so t(an democrats are taking a hit from negative campaigning. tracie potts is following the donald trump and three other candidates are at the same meet and greets in new him by name at rallies: "i heard someone say 'we're going to build a wall.' i said where did that come from? nobody ever said that before but me." fair game but he won't launch personal attacks. "if he or anyone else wants to our latatst nbc wall street journal poll results - released just last night - show the battle for the republican nomination has given four in 10 voters a more negative view of the party buttt's not haviig as much of an impact among republicans. police officers, two children and a journalist. continuing coverage this morning... an iowa schoodistrict is prepared for a day of sorrow today. it'll be the first day babak to class since the house fire that killed three students. amber sorenson and her children were killed. investigators think it was caused by a space heater. school leaders already met with students ahead of this morning's classes... we were up front with them as let them know that they are safe d they will be ok while they are here." today, the district will have a crisis team made up of counselors, clergy and nurses available for students and staff. a firefighter is recovering this morning -- after a fire at a storrge center in central iowa. take a look at the fire at the goodyear tire storage in fort dodge. crews had a hard time putting it out

tanks inside the building. another building next to it also caught fire. an eastern iowa small town business burns to the ground -- together to show support. this cell phone video shows the fire at back home country cookin' in strawberry point this weekend. the building is a total loss. kwwl's olivia mancino spoke to the owner about her restaurant, and the response she's gotten from the community. strawberry point iowa... car nat in one of them, sits then" its been about two days since she lost her restaurant 'back home country cookin' to a fire. it took firefighters hours to contain the blaze and the smoke that took over the entire block. well nooshe's 8 and still fighting.... she had a stroke when she was less than a week old after her first open heart surgery.... and unfortunately there is no cure at this time.... but olivia... her family and her friends are staying strong and positive.... "like a best friend necklace. yep. jus a cut in half heart. i thth's right. some schools are packing the day with more classes, but a handful are bucking that trend. janetetshamlian telll us they'rere adding more free time for kids. this is the second recess. after lunch, a third. day. (who can read to me daily routine for kindergarten and first grader at several north exas schools. (so with the recesses, they have the chance to get the wiggles out, like we say. and they come back and they are ready to learn) it's part of a 3-year trial by minutes of daily recess compared to 27 minutes here. (typical recess, it's aa free for all. but experts say there's so much value in this unstructured time) (there is between 1 and 2 hours a day of what we call distraction in the classroom, that with this recess it takes away from the
