we're taking a closer look at a continuing coverage continuing coverage we're taking a closer look at a pervasive problem all around the country and right here in eastern iowa. just last week we told you about a hoarder home situation in beaman-- a rescue group found more than 40 cats in a single home. since airing this story many of you have reached out to us, shedding light onnsimilar situattns throughout eastern iowa kwwls olivia mancino has been looking into that, she joins us now live i met with someone from the waverly pet rescue today-- her rescue has just recently taken in

this family gave those cats up volunarily here are some pictures of those cats-- asasou can see, not all these animals live in deplorable conditions some homes are quite nice, but still barb dunakey with the wavery pet rescue told me it is not safe for the owners nor cats to be living that crowded. and these situations typically go unnoticed so often simply because...cats are quiet. "cats are very quiet...so dogs, if they had 50 dogs in a place, people would hear that, cats are quiet and no one would know they're even in the house" here's "po" the cat... shes the mother of the recent fourty- something kittens the shelter rescued from single home dunakey says po recently had hernia surgery, which she most likely got from having so many litters of kittens dunakey says the answer to all of this is simple -- spay and neuter your cats. many shelters spay and neuter their

of them even won a bronze medal in 2012, they tell me they are shooting for the gold thissime. and it all starts with a lot of practice, these women tell me they have been running stairs, working here in the wrestling room and even have spent some time watching the hawkeye men's team practices. their coach and former hawkeye all american terry steiner knows a thing or to about competing here and tells us he wants the women to (cg: terry steiner/ usa wrestling and wwen's nationnl team coach) "generally i was pretty much appreciated for what girls, they're had to fight for programs and things like that so i want them to feel that what theydo is apprecied and there really is no better place than the state of iowa." the excitement here is something the women tell me they feel nd appreciate. coming up at six, hear from some of the olympic hopefuls, who will be competing in the trials
