the massive winter storm barreling down on the east service says it could be on of the worst storms to ever hit the where residents are being told to hunker down and ride it out. "two feet of snow, that is a big residents are ready." more than 1200 miles of winter weather advisories have been issued from the south to w england impaaing millionss of ppople. with blizzard warnings stretching from washington to new york. bracing for impact with a fierce 30-million of them are facing blizzard conditions. six states in the u-s have declared a state of emergency... state leaders are taking no chances. gun owners' access to weapons during a time of emergency. current state law allows the governor and other state leaders to ban gun possession during emergencies. the bill now heads to another state committee. a man was fired after complaining about a state trooper speeding while driving governor branstad... now -- he's taking his case to the state's supreme court. larry hedlund asking the court to allow his wrongful termination lawsuit to continue. he was fired aaer questionini why the trooper wasn't punsihed. the iowa department of public safety denies retaliation. crime is down in one eastern iowa town... cecear falls police reporting a slight drop in crime during 2015. ...continuing a five year trend police chief jeff olson credits the people in the city... however there were some areas of increase - including drunk driving... elsewhere... a judge throws out one lawsuit against bill cosby... renita hill filed the lawsuit in october. she claimscosby defamedher in the media. hill is one more than 500 womeme who have accused cosby of sexual assault. the judge dismissed her claims, ruling that statements made by cosby and his lawyer did not support a defamation claii as dedeined by pennsylvania law. cosby is still in the middle of dozens more lawsuits... while there was a record number of cars sold in 20-15... the auto industry also hit another recd... the number of recalls issued was also in record highs last year... in fact -- there were almost 900 separate more than 5 5 million vehicles... the previous record was 803 recalls in 20-14. stronger government enforcement and more recalls of exploding air bags are some of the top reasons for those record numbers.
