candidates are trying to gin momentum from last night's debate. governor jeb bush held a campaign event in carrol today. bush talked about hillary clinton trust issues and how he is proud to be a bush. and senator marco rubio is out seeking last minute votes before the caucus. this morning the republican presidential candidate greeted supporters at a rally in burlington. he started out criticizing the obama administration then turned his attention to democratic candidates hillary clinton and bernie sanders. senator ted cruz didn'ttmention the debate during his town hall in ringsted - but he continued to attack other republicans as failing to live up to conservative principles. and that included takg on the family of popular reppblican iowa governor terry branstad.. who criticized cruz last week for opposing federal subsidies for

donald trump held a rally in new hampshire this morning.. where he told supporters that skipping the republican debate - in his presidential candidate :16 what happened last night was amazing because i wasn't treated right, i did something on the front page of every paper, i'm getting more publicity (applause) trump will return to iowa tomorrow for more campaigning before the caucus. and ben carson is reacting to his performance in last night's debate. according to an analysis by n-p-r, carson got six minutes and eleven seconds...less than half of the time given to senators ted cruz and marco rubio. the former neurosurgeon aaitted to not being as entertaining as the other candidates on stage. are you caucusing? thats the question of the day... were just a few days away from the caucuses and both the democrat

i interuppted breakfast at morgs diner to talk about the caucus, are you going? if yoo aren't why not? and do you like the system? "i cant get off work and go back , or if youre doing something else, everyone has bbsy lives, taking care of their families" as she mentioned, patricia lynch won't be able to make the caucus.. she wishes there was an easier story. he lives a few blocks "you get more peoples views, democrat.....................but i seem to go along with trump caucusing for trump. but that's exactly trump and the rest of the candidates want--to persuade iowans-- and is exactly why they've spent so much time in iowa. candidates on both sides of the ticket have been yo-yoing in the polls for the past few weeks-- so it may come down to people like leo larson and patricia lynch that make or break the candidates shot as a caucuu win. only time will tell...and that

many key candidates will be in iowa up until monday if you want to know their full backkto you and..if you need more information on how to caucus, we've put together a segment called "caucus class" for you, thats also on our website continuing coverage... police are now saying a shooting in cedar rapids took place during a robbery attempt... one person was shot in the area of 15th street and beaver avenue southeast yesterday afternoon. the person wws taken to tt hospital with non- life threatening injuries... police did take two people into custody. police say the investigation is still ongoing. a chruch in lamont was destroyed last night after catching fire. take a look at these photos taken by a viewer. the church was built in the 19 hundreds.

apartments to several different renters. kwwl's hillary maglin talked to the lamont fire department today. hillalay ron... the lamont fire chief said the fire took hours to put out in the old building... and the owners are devastated about the loss. smoke fills this lamont neighborhood after a church burured down thursday night. the ground from 40 thousand gallons of water used to fight the blaze. the lamont fire department says the cause is still under investigation - but sounds suspicious since it was vacant at the time. (sot. cg: terry crow/lamont there's, the gas was shut off." still - crow says he doesn't believe it was an arson case. the building hadn't been used as a church since 2011. it was turned into apartments... and a storage space for the owners. (sot. cg: hillary maglin) "the fire department tells me while the owners themselves weren't living in the old church, they were keeping some of tteir personal items inside, including a lot of their kids belongings."

next door to the former church - were visibly upset by the loss. the fire department said it's not surprising that a fire like this would shake the whole neighbors. "how somebody can discharge a weapon in the city limits and shoot a poor dog that's 13 years old, overweight and stuff, i don't undeetand the reasoning." recently -- council woman bokenstedt says she recievvd harassing threats. but the family doesn't know if that situation is related to the shooting of peedee. as for his condition -- he's up and running again. coming up on kwwl, we've heard from supporters -- but now we hear from people who plan to vote no for the 35-million dollar career center. and - the cyclone's new head football coach is already making a splash in recruiting. see who
