county. new this morning...three people are in the hospital following a fire in cedar falls. it happened just before 11:45 last night at a mobile home park in the 2500 block of union road. firefighters rescued a five- year-old girl, a three-year-old boy and their mother from the home. they had to head back to the scene around four this morning when the fire picked up again. at last check -- the children were doing well. the mother had serious smoke inhalataion. the cause of the fire is under investigation. a man is arrested after allegedly setting off a hospital's sprinkler system and causing thousands of dollars worth of damage. douglas hala is facing criminal mischief charges. he's accused of tampering with the sprinkler system at covenant

40 patients had to be moved to other areas of the hospital. "our staff came in, we were in in more to help us with that room change" the damage is estimated at ten- thousand dollars. police say hala was a patient at the hospital. we dug into court records -- which tell us he was arrested last year for allegedly threatening a nurse at the same hospital. seven people are hurt and one person is dead following a shooting at a night club. it happened in rochester new york. the victims range from 21 to 30 years old. one is female. investigators believe it started as a fight inside the nightclub. two people shot and killed when someone opens fire at a mardi "it was very chaotic, because trying to sort out and find out we had officers yelling for help. there were reports of people fleeing the scene. and again,

no arrests have been made at this time one person is dead and six others are hurt after a plant explosion in northwest georgia. police say the explosion happened early sunday morning at a feed mill on a chicken farm about 50 miles northwest of atlanta. the explosion remains under investigation. one man dies in a race in which runners could also eat krispy kreme doughnuts. people were challenged to run five miles while eating 12 doughnuts in an hour. the north carolina man stepped out during the first mile and reported having chest pains. he was taken to the hospital, where he died. "it's kind of a shock to me. that happening. so it's a little scary." the krispy kreme challenge is a student-led, charity-based run that supports the north carolina children's hospital. decision 2016. the new hampshire primary is tomorrow.

according to witnesses -- the person took nearly 50-thousand dollars -- and the crime stoppers grou is offering nearly one- thousand dollars for any information that leads to an ararest. an iia police officer is recovering after being shot while responding to a call. sioux city officers investigating a string of robberies and burglaries responded to an apartment complex. police say isaiah mothershed shot an office in the leg -- and also shot himself. the officer is a 13-year veteran of the department and is already out of the hospital.. mothershed is currently in police custody. he's also the suspect for a kidnapping and assault which happened six months ago...a crime allegedly committed over a drug debt. continuing coverage... new safety policies go into effect today following a fatal crane collapse last week. one person was killed and three others hurt in new york on friday. new york's mayor announced new restrictions to improve safety... including a strict policy about who fail to make a site safe during a
