good morning, oh, it is going to be a beautiful holiday for this monday. we have some rain in the forecast later this week. (a warning for passenger flying on southwest airlines after technical problems delayed hundreds of flight yesterday. what the airline is urging travelers to do if you're flying today. and, was that so hard? the eagles finally giving what the fans had been craving, a dominant win. still, chip kelly says the birds can get better. good morning it is monday, october 12th, i'm erika von tiehl. checking your forecast and the roads with kyla and meisha. >> happy monday. feeling little chilly. roads are looking good.

there, 42 freeway for those of in you jersey, look at this, very, very cam on monday morning, really calm for monday morning, 42 freeway northbound at creek road, one of the areas where we typically see that heat up first. looking good there. this is where we do have accident this swenksville, game farm road at smith road, one lane blocked in this area. but again, still early. so the good news is even though that isn't cleared out of the way yet, not causing too many slow downs, construction wilmington 95 north and southbound ramp to 202 southbound closed, until 5:00 a.m. on thursday. erika, back over to you. >> meisha, thank you. we have some breaking news right now from iran. state tv is report that jailed washington post reporter jason has been convicted of espionage, now faces ten to 20 years in prison. iran held closed door trial for rezian, and he and his attorney now have 20 days to file an appeal.
>> southwest airlines is warning travelers to plan ahead and also just get ready while it continues to deal with technical problems that have delayed flight for hundreds. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us now at the philadelphia international airport where the lines are already extremely long. justin, what's happening? >> reporter: good morning, lines are building as you said, already so far talking about delays, and not concellations, just take a look at the lines behind me here. they are starting to snake here at the entrance here, bends around, and then go over here into the check in area, a very long line, customers here doing what southwest said to show up early, a minimum of two hours early, to help minimize delays. >> an early check of flight boards at philadelphia international airport show no delays for southwest airlines, but that could change. >> that's the problem, not a sign, not a person here doing anything. >> what are you going to do? i mean, the computers are down, there is nothing we can
do. everybody else is in the same situation. >> across the country computer glitch the airline says has intermittently disrupted service. impacting some 450 of 3600 flights sunday. from los angeles, to denver, to chicago, travelers had to wait in line for many while many to check in for hours. southwest scramble to make the best of it. >> they gave us water, and wonderful, i met some real nice people. >> the glitch in question is affecting southwest website and mobile app. their advice, reporting and baggage documents before you get to the airport, leave early, with about two hours built into your pre-check in to avoid delays and move as quickly as possible. and this morning, we have heard staff here at southwest tell custom that's even if you have a check in document on your phone, you will still need to print it off once you get up here to the kiosk the key to fly southwest smoothly rather this morning will be to show up early, two hour minimum, of arriving early,
and also to having hard documents for your bags, and also your boarding pass. live in morning at the airport, justin finch, cbs-3, eyewitness flues. >> we can't believe that line is that long at 4:30 in the morning, justin, thank you. well, may have been season saving win for the eagles at one and three, eagles needed a win to keep playoff hopes alive. the birds shook off early mistake to blow out the new orleans saints, they rushed, best performance so far this season, forced four turnovers. in the end the eagles beat the saints 39 to 17. >> we had to win a football game. it didn't matter if we were playing an afc opponent, nfc opponent, obviously at the end. year there is more weight, but in our mindset we had to come out, play on all three phases. >> the win is nice. i think the big thing for us, this team, just to build on. >> this you know, by no means are we where we want to be as a team. but i think today was a step in the right direction.

the hospital after they were stabbed in south philadelphia. this happened last night, on 15th street and west oregon avenue, just after 6:30 where officers say a 16 year olan 14 year old were stabbed. the 16 year old is in critical condition. the 14 year old in stable. so far no arrests have been made. >> police in burlington county are investigating after a man's body was discovered in a clothing bin. authority found the body yesterday afternoon, dangling from a planet aid donation box. it is located on pemberton-browns mills road, pemberton township. the person has not been identified. and the cause of death is unknown at this time. >> happening today, philadelphia's mayoral candidates are facing into debate. debate between democratic candidate, jim kenny and melissa marie bailey. takes place tonight at 6:30 at the whyy studios in philadelphia. less than a month away from the mayoral election. >> president obama speaking
out about the e-mail scandal plaguing presidential candidate, hillary clinton. during a interview last night, with 60 minute, the commander in chief says clinton made a mistake. >> post a national security problem? >> i don't think it post add national security problem, i think it is a mistake that she acknowledged, you know, as a general proposition, when we're in these offices, we have to be more sensitive and stay as far away from a line as possible when it comes to how we handle information, how we handle our own personal data. >> the president went on to say that much of the criticism has been up because of politics. new cbs pole says voters are having problem trusting clinton because of this e-mail scandal. >> the leader of house republican hardliner says the group would like favorably on representative paul ryan if he runs for speaker. while rhine-main tapes he does not want the job, some of his allies say he's weighing his options. ryan returned home to

wednesday relatively calm out of the south-southwest. tonight 58 degrees, nice and comfortable for youment wind staying calm helps, too. quick look at the seven day forecast, see the warmth definitely changes after we get the showers in on tuesday. we start to cool down into the six 60s, we go, so upper 60s for wednesday, thursday. by friday, few isolated showers possible. next weekend with highs in the upper 50's, i refuse to look at that yet. i don't want to talk about it yet. >> checking sports this morning, the eagles demarco murray said did he not get the ball enough in the three game he's played this season, but that all changed this past weekend. murray his best game as an eagle yesterday at the linc. he ran for 83 yards on 20 carries against the saints who have one of the worse run defenses in the nfl. ryan matthews ran for 73 yards, the birds ran for 186 yards overall. scored two touchdowns on the ground. the running backs like the way the offensive line cleared the way. >> i was able to, you know,

how are things looking in the weather department? >> little chilly out there. but i have got good news for our holiday, columbus day, will be warm un one, temperatures, doing well in 53 degrees. forty-two in allentown, 42 atlantic city, so definitely some chill out there. in fact, quakertown check it out sitting at 41 degrees, so very chilly for to you start the day. live look at storm scan3, shows you, that we are relatively clear, skies are beautiful. they'll be beautiful blue skies coming up as we get the sun up. we do have some rain to look out for on tuesday. you can see ramps up to about 40% chance. i'll time it out for you real quickly. show this is our monday evening, and you see a front off to the west. little stormy weather ahead of it, so as we get into our morning afternoon hours thereon tuesday we could see few showers. so you want to take the umbrella on tuesday, but, today, gorgeous, enjoy it, high of 74. tomorrow we still stay warm, we start to cool down wednesday. bigger cool down than that coming erika next weekend up ear's for the highs.
