habit is too great for them. and they need to be on the street to get the money. one had a seven-pack a day habit. she's got to work for a substantial time to get the money for her habit. and that's every day. why don't you come with us? >> every day sheriff's police connect women in crisis like carlisa with dedicated social workers like erin knowles. >> i'm from the salvation army, and a lot of times the police ask us to come meet people who they've picked up to offer services. it's my hope that nobody would ever feel like they have to trade sex to survive. but we also recognize that many people do feel that they have to trade sex to survive. whether that be to meet basic needs or because someone has told them they have or else. >> see, i've been getting high for a while. and i ache, you know, trying to kick. >> it's tough to kick a drug
