yes, they are doing some fast track work on the a. trains and this should be cleared away by 5:00 a.m. but fast track service is suspended between 168th street and 207th street. new jersey transit, long island railroad, metro-north checking 46 and mount olive. westbound near sand shore drive that's an accident and you have a downed pole and downed wires. 1 and # northbound from 22 up to delancey street. that's construction and the express lanes are closed down. we have alternate side of the street parking rules in effect. ken over to you. thank you very much heather, 4:32. developing this morning, an alleged rapist ataxes three -- attacks three women and police are trying to catch him before he attacks again. eyewitness news reporter kala rama live on the lower east side with the very latest. good morning. >> reporter: ken, good morning to you. police are tow looking for a man they say attacked three women in three hours. take a look at the suspect now wanted for rape and attempted rape here.
this guy is described to be in his mid 20s to 30s with facial hair and a dark complexion about 5'7." security cameras caught him standing in a stairwell here at the baruch houses. police believe he followed a 33- year-old into her chinatown apartment building. grabbed her but she was able to fight him off. he then made it to the lower east side where he followed a 24-year-old woman into her building. but she screamed and he ran. straight to the baruch houses. police say he walked through an unlocked door here and up the stairs and encountered a 40- year-old mom and raped he, police say security is an -- her. police say security is an issue here at the baruch houses. >> i don't think it's housing as really -- it's the tenants and people that have their friends that come here and maybe even friends in the building. >> reporter: night shift says they take the sift of their
residents -- safety of their residents seriously. however the residents here break the locks to get into the building as soon as they're fixed. however, the security cameras are working and that's what will help detectives solving this and maybe finding that attempted rape and rape suspect wanted. we're live here on the lower east side, kala rama, channel 7 eyewitness news. thank you. it's 4:34. we've just learned that are searching for the owner of a gun in the bronx. a gun that was used in the deadly shooting of a 16-year- old girl. eyewitness news reporter rob nelson is live now in the bronx with the very latest for us. rob? >> reporter: good morning lori. really a tragic story out here in the bronx. a young life violently lost less than 12 hours ago. take a look at the video from last night. this was the scene here at this building if the bronx at east 171st street and college avenue. police received a frantic 911 call about 6:00 last night and when they arrived here they found a 16-year-old girl fatally shot in the head. now authorities say that
the building but was just visiting. they also say there were several eyewitnesses in the apartment with her at the time of the shooting. so far, no arrests but we have some new information this morning and we want to show you the picture of this man. dale weston. 42 years old. police now saying this morning that he is the person who owned the gun that went off and killed the still unidentified 16-year-old tabled girl inside this building. we also understand that there were three teenagers who had been questioned by police. they are not expected to be charged in this. apparently they are giving authorities conflicting reports about exactly what happened here but again they are looking for dale westop 42 years old. they say he owns the gun that was used in the inzen last night. -- incident last night. however it's still unclear exactly the reason for death. so still lots of questions here and the suspect now police or at least a person of interest police looking for at this early hour. reporting live in the bronx,

different story. more volume and routes 1 and 9 north, 22 up to delancey construction in the express lanes. street cleaning rules are in effect for today. lori over to you. all right heather thank you. and the last half hour, and police released a picture of a person of interest in the shooting death of a teenaged girl in the bronx. eyewitness news reporter rob nelson is live now in claire month with details for us. >> reporter: we are getting as you said some new information about the tragic loss of a 16- year-old girl inside this building behind me last night. and just in the past few minutes, police have identified as you said a person of interest in the case. this is a video from last night about 6:00 last night, police received a frantic 911 call and arrived to the building here east 171st street near college avenue. it was inside the building inside a fourth floor apartment where police discovered that teenager with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. the victim here didn't live in the building, she was just visiting and there were several people with her in the apartment when the shooting
took place. now we have learned this morning that police have questioned three eyewitnesses who were giving conflicting accounts though of exactly what happened. in addition, police are now looking for this man on your screen. 42-year-old dale weston. he does live in this same building and was last seen in his apartment just a few minutes before the shooting was reported. weston is now wanted for criminal possession of a firearm. meantime, residents in the area as you can imagine clearly rattled by what happened here. >> it's really sad because you know, you send your kids to school or if you go the school, because they're like 17 or 16 and they don't come home. come on that's really sad. >> reporter: what we're basically learning at this hour is that weston was inside his apartment with several young people. the gun was in the apartment as well and in some point during this visit, the 16-year-old girl shot herself. now whether it was accidental or something else, that is still unclear. what is also unclear this hour
that girl and weston himself. anyone with information about where weston could be or any details about this case of course they are asked to call authorities as soon as possible. reporting live in the bronx, rob nelson, channel 7 eyewitness news. rob thank you. it's 5:05. now a developing story in manhattan. police are searching for this man. he's accused -- suspected i should say in a string of sexual assaults yesterday morning. the final attack was the rape of a ho -year-old mom -- 40- year-old mother at the baruch houses on the lower east side. it happened inside the woman's apartment. the suspect apparently got into the building through a broken security door. we will have a live report on the manhunt at 5:30. 5:05. new this among on long island a man walking in central icy husband run down and killed during the night on east suffolk avenue. police have arrested the driver of a pickup truck that hit the man. he's now charged with driving while intoxicated. happened just after midnight and police say that the driver remained at the scene after the accident. 5:06.

figured out emwazi's identity soon after the beheading of american james foley in august. the ruthless wannabe isis leader then slaying two americans and two britains and two japanese lost annals. president obama warned that american justice will prevail. >> if you hurt an american, you're going to be brought to justice in some fashion. >> reporter: in a statement to abc news, the parents of murdered hostage james foley said the air streak was a small solace. quote this huge effort to go after this deranged man filled with hate when they can't make half that effort to save the hostages while the young americans are still alive. it's unfortunate the government doesn't get it they think it gives us solace but it doesn't. the pentagon is working to confirm that john was indeed killed by the u.s. air strike from what they saw in the hit, they believe he's dead. the vehicle he was in burst into flames and one official says jihadi john essentially evaporated. in washington, stephanie ramos

all right heather thank you. it's 5:35. developing this morning, police are on the hunt for a sexual predator targeting women in manhattan. >> eyewitness news reporter cool rhiamon live on the low -- kala rama live on the lower east side with the video police want you to see. >> reporter: right ken, police are looking for a man they say attacked three women in just three hours. and this suspect take a look, is wanted for rape and attempted rape. here he is, this guy is described to be in his late mid 20s to 30s. with facial hair and a dark complexion. about 5'7." security cameras caught him standing in a stairwell here at the baruch houses. police believe he followed a 33- year-old into her chinatown apartment building and grabbed her but she was able to fight him off. he then made it to the lower east side where he followed a 24-year-old woman into her building. but she screamed and then ran to the -- and he ran to the baruch houses, police say this is where he walked through a door and up the stairs and encountered a 40-year-old

su and police in indianapolis say they will release new details this morning in the murder of a pregnant pastor's wife. amanda blackburn died if a gunshot wound to the head during a home robbery tuesday morning. now she was taken off of life support wednesday. her child did not survive the shooting. and her toddler who was in another room was not harmed during the attack. police say blackburn's husband is not a suspect. they already have surveillance
