well good monday morning. we begin with the nation on edge as half a world away, european governments are under their highest terror alerts and warnings. >> america is under a terror watch this morning, just three days before thanksgiving. worries over a potential paris copy cat attack have security on edge close to close. our coverage begins right now with abc's stephanie ramos joining us from washington. stephanie, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, kendis and reena. there's a heightened sense of vigilance here in the united states. this is fallout from the terror attacks on soft targets overseas. american cities on edge. >> makes you question every loud noise. >> reporter: in atlanta, policing they received a threat about this pro wrestling event over the weekend. americans alert and kaurgscautious

abc, was a. police in indianapolis say they have charged 18-year-old larry taylor with murder. he's accused of killing 28-year-old amanda blackburn in a home invasion earlier this month. her body was discovered by her hurd when he returned home from the gym. injured. he was home at the time. two other persons of interests are in custody. we expect to learn more about this arrest today. the midwest digging out from its first snowstorm of the season. chicago's o' hare airport canceled hundreds of flights the. driving a bit of a challenge, too. this blast of arctic weather headed for the northeast and coastal regions. >> good morning, reena and kennedys. it will be a downright chilly

a candle is blamed for this frightening scene on the 50th floor of the john hancock building in downtown chicago. the fire looked worse than it actually was to holiday shoppers down below. it was contained to a single bedroom. five people suffered minor injuries, including, we're told, a police officer. the fire alarm system was claimed not to have worked. gun fire in a new york neighborhood sent 16 people to the hospital. the shooting happened when hundreds of people gathered for
